Deleted User?

What the hell does that mean?

I had a private message a while back from someone who was an ass on the board here.

Now I was looking in my pm message box and where their name used to be, it says, [Deleted User]


So just how does one become a [Deleted User]?

Is that Laurel's doing? Or The Editor's? Or did the user Delete himself?

As far as I know, only Laurel or Manu can delete a user. I'm sure hat the BB software has a function to delete inactive users but I don't think it's turned on and if the person recently sent you a PM, they wouldn't be purged as inactive anyway.

It was sent to me on 11/2. I can search the persons nick and still see posts by him. But his private message says his registration date was december 1969 and his name is now not listed in the message itself. Only says [Deleted User] where the name of the person sending the message is.

Well, someone's asleep at the wheel because the last time I browsed the Member List, I saw hundreds of members listed who had been registered for months and never submitted any posts or stories.
