Let me preface this with IMHO (In My Humble Opinion):


A date is just that. A date. If you go on A date, you are not datING.

If are going on a date environment and ONE of the people has a romantic interest in the other, you are datING. Maybe not a couple, but datING.

If you go out on multiple occasions and neither of you have any romantic interest, you are friends, going out and having a good time.

If you are going out multiple times and both of you have a romantic interest you are DEFINITELY dating, and probably a couple.
