Well I feel honored then that you would think of me in such a nasty mood....

I have more than just a cock available for adoption. Hands and eager mouth too if you are interested. :p

Back to the thread theme for a moment....

May your dreams be filled with laughter and love..

And if that doesn't work, I have a 'tip' for you, but it will be more than a nickle back!

For an early morning post, this was well thought out, and you beat me to it!
Our hearts grow to accomdate the amount of love we feel. It's hard for us to think of anything that is infinite except in really abstract terms. But that's what love is, can't be measured, and can't run out of it.
So it's not love that you can run out of.
But there are two other factors to be considered which can be measured, time and energy.
If we are speaking of affairs or second loves, you have to be able to devote an amount of each it. Sometimes we can run out of those, if we're not careful.
The affair would take people who are good at time management and being able to focus on one thing at a time to work.

I know this sounds so cold, but that doesn't make it false.
MT, thank you for the kind compliment.

I was speaking in purely theoretical terms. I didn't mean to imply that loving two people at once was easy or even practical. Just that logically it seems possible. I'm not sure anyone has the energy or the emotional resources to do it well for any length of time. But in theory it should be possible.

Here are some interesting quotes on the subject of love:

Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction.
~ Antoine de Saint-Exupery

You don't love a woman because she is beautiful, but she is beautiful because you love her.

Great quotes dwb. I have to say that these two are my favorites.:)

GG, this may be one of the single most well-constructed posts in this entire thread. Of course, it helps that you answered Cathleen in exactly the way I would have (though you used far fewer words and used them more clearly than I would have). :D

<snip>

Thanks Yank. I think it helps that I was able to construct a reply without a single horrible bad pun :D

Actually, Jaguar does not define love, for we all know that love is a Saab story.

When I arrived here this morning I was excited to see how many pages had been filled while I was gone last night. I enjoyed reading them........right up to this post! Goodness Yank, you have outdone yourself with this one. *GROAN*

This is hardly my criterion for a fine post. ;)

Logic and clear writing are all that matters. The puns are frosting on a fine cake.

If you'd read carefully, you'd know that Cathleen already did the honors on this one. In football, this would be called "piling on." :D

Yes, I saw that Cathleen was very conscientious about it. I guess it's a good thing I know nothing about football so that your concept of "piling on" means nothing to me :D

What I know about football could be written on the blank spaces of a Cheetos bag, but I believe that piling on is the sports equivalent of "cruel and unusual punishment."

Heaven knows it isn't due to your puns :D
You think this only because you are constitutionally incapable of appreciating their exquisite symmetry, elegance of form, and depth of meaning.

Yank, I am not constitutionally incapable of anything at all....

Have you ever heard of tough-love, my friend? It forces me to tell you that I don't appreciate them because they are just plain BAD :D

Good thing I like you, despite yourself :)

I beg to differ.

With the possible exception of this so-called tough love thing you seem to want to apply to my punning, I suspect you are constitutionally incapable of being cruel.

Let's not find out, eh?
