Defining Love

I know for a fact that since October, when I started writing again and spending more time online...I have become a new person. I am not afraid to step out on that limb and really reach for what I want anymore. In the past I have always taken the safe easy road...not anymore. :D

A lot of this is built on the framework my parents gave me over the last two and a half years...and a lot of it has t do with all the love, affection, and SUPPORT my Beloveds have given me. There are also all the people here who have supported mne through mood swings and everything else. :)

THANKS!
To paraphrase a bad comedian, Lit has been beddy, beddy good to me. :D

Have you tasted the fruit out on the end of that limb yet? I hope it has the sweet fragrance of a lilac and the flavor of sensual goodness. Enjoy! :rose:

It seems that Life
Could be compared to a giant jigsaw puzzle
With each person like each piece
Having a place where they fit perfectly
Yet so many in there need to belong
Grab the first place they come to
Then try to make it fit

And because of this
They are never quite in harmony
With their adjoining pieces
Thus they never get to know
The way it was truly
Meant to be
 DLL

....beautiful

DLL, sometimes life presents us with puzzles that seem to have no borders, with pieces whose shapes change over time. Fitting it all together is a mystery. And sometimes it's a matter of luck that we find just the right piece to make our puzzle come together.

I don't think I can post here anymore. How can I possibly take seriously a man who doesn't drink frapp and likes coconut?

:p

Let's not get started on people who wear hats indoors then. :p

Defining love is actually very restricting to the emotion itself. I know that I love different people in different ways. The love has different depths and different "colors" for different people in my life.

So love can be quite like a box of chocolate in my opinion. But one where I know the flavor of each piece and I decide if the other person is worthy of that emotion from me.

Have I invested my "love" in people that were not worthy? Yes, but each time I learned something from it. Am I apt to do it again? Less likely because of the lessons learned only to well.

Do I understand when others feel the same way? You bet I do. And I am the first to encourage others to go slow and get to know the other person before gracing someone else with their love.

Missingmeds, I believe you're quite right here. Love does take many forms. And, just as you said, sometimes we end up loving someone who turns out to be unworthy for one reason or another. It's always sad when we discover that, but it happens. Learning from it, as you said, is the best possible outcome.

well ...i think you two define love i think you both just dont see it yet....The real Oz has spoken:p
If this is the real Oz, then she is a very bad wizard indeed. But what can you expect from someone who thinks it's possible to find love at a Yankees game?

If everyone that 'played' on Lit defined 'love', we wouldn't need this thread.

*thinking of all the trouble I'd be in if my playmates thought I loved them*
