Defining Love

Cate, thanks. I probably needed to get whacked up side the head about now. I dug myself in too deep there.

Mind, as always, you found a clean way to say something meaningful. Huggs to you, too.

Red, she's right. And so are you.

Shadowpaladin, thanks for joining the discussion.

And to everyone else who has ever posted here, thanks for the thoughts, ideas, prompts, and jabs.

This is post 1,000 in the thread. Who'd a thunk it, right?

:rose: X 12 to all of you.

Sir, the watersports thread is four doors down on the left. ;)

Don't be such a sour puss Yank :)

As for your intellectual discussion I'm not sure I can agree that the responsibility of communication is one sided. Yes definitely the speaker has the responsibility to make him/herself clear and understood but the listener also has an obiligation. Once took a course in empathetic listening. Responsibility can work both ways.

Sour? You didn't really say that, did you? ;)

You're quite right on the communication issue. I got off on a flimsy tangent and forgot to reel myself back in.

Sour? Yes I did...sometimes it's good...like the pucker power in lemon pie if it's done right.

Trust me; when it comes to water sports of any kind, my experience stops just short of water polo.

I'm probably not far behind you, though a few hundred miles to the left (or right, depending on how you fold your map).

Learning from each other, even from your struggles together, is a vital part of the journey.

Morning Yank :D

Definitely...as is learning from life and its journey

Greeting your luv

A thought to share ...

Make a point of greeting your luv with your eyes, at least once a day if you have this opportunity, otherwise each time you come together.

Yes, hold off that hug and kiss for just a moment as you stand there face to face without word. Place your right hand over their heart or your hands gently over the edge of their shoulders. Invite and offer a short moment of silence as you look into the depths of one another's eyes.

Feel the stir of awe and wonder as you fathom the mysteries of this person before you. Yes, you know their face and name but the person they ARE is surely beyond your mere thoughts and imaginations.

Practice appreciating just being with the mysteries of your luv, for who they ARE is not for you to "figure out."

To your love,

Sky

Essential.....and the most needed lesson are those that are learned the hard way as well...through those struggles.....and into the heart.

Good morning all!
