I enjoy reading this thread....
I guess because we share a heart, as in one and the same. We were both spoiled and then forced to learn life the hard way. I often think of him in my hours of gloom and think that we might have shared the same appetite for ladies beyond our reach. Something to that effect anyway.
I also had just the name Romeo and another form of Romeo, but forgot the passwords.
It would be the most wonderful gift if someone new a good appropriate picture I could use as an AV.

I'm a RABID motorhead. ANYTHING with wheels and a motor I can't resist. Anything old I can't resist. Anything I can tinker with I can't resist. I am in constant pursuit of better looks and performance. Old cars and motorcycles are a passion of mine, and they both have tons of chrome on them.
Look at modern vehicles, plastic bumper covers don't excite me. painted grilles don't either. Anything I can't work on myself doesn't excite me.
My car has lots of chrome, my motorcycle used to have lots of chrome, but it is all rusty and pitted now. My guitar is black, but has a ton of chrome on it, so is/does my amp. I can't play very well, but it doesn't matter much to me, because I spend more time taking them apart and modifying them than I do playing them.
Most of my hand tools are chrome, except for my black screwdrivers and my annodized aluminum AN fitting wrenches.
My leather jacket and engineer boots have their fair share of chrome on 'em, too.
I was in a sporting goods store once and saw a chrome shotgun with black stock and grip. I almost bought it, for the sole purpose of putting in the gun rack of the black and chrome '63 Dodge D-100 stepside or '60-61 Chevy 1/2 ton stepside truck I WILL own someday.

...the biggest surprise for me was to find out no one picked this name yet.
I like cats (always have since I was a kid). Something about the natural grace, independance, luminous fur coat, and that aloofness that comes built into the feline character.
I've used this nick as long as I've been online (IRC of mid '90's).
As enlightning as this thread is, I'm sometimes more curious about the AV people pick since it usualy has something more to do with their personality. (Again, mine is self-explanatory - that's who I feel I am. Read Lewis Carrol's story, I'll share all the traits of that mysterious cat. =)

Well, Phat, since you asked about AV, and I just had to pick mine, I'll explain.
First, I'm asian, so I wanted something with that kind of look, or features similar to mine. Second, I want it to be sexy, but not reveal everything. I liked the mystery of the av - not flaunting it all for everyone to see, but looks like she would for the right person. Definately sexy.
I originally wanted something like the old asian art, paintings of women, nude. Some of those, to me, can be very sexy, if done just right, but the couple I found so far were too small. We'll see..

I enjoy old movies. The black and white ones, especially. I once was fortunate to see a whole series of Deanna Durbin movies when my children were much younger, it was on some obscure channel. I asked my mom about Miss Durbin and she told me all about her. She was a sweet heart of a lady.

Have been a member for some time now and have two stories published, why I never got in here before is beyond me! SAXETMAN, welllllll, at one time in my life I got into a fantasty football league and had to pick a team name, live in Texas and love the Longhorns, so reversed Texas to Saxet. Mine began back when I did the chat thing. That durned A/S/L question bugged me so I came up with this name --- it answered two of the questions and I only had to worry with the age part. It amazed me but people would still ask me where I lived then the smartass in me would escape (I try to keep her contained).

My real name is Connie. Khan-E sounds right. The name actually began when I was a child. The movie, "Wrath of Khan" was out. Some boy started some crap with me and I beat him up. My girlfriend began to warn people about the "Wrath of Khan-E". It stuck, as I do have quite a temper.
