I'm seeing a lot of threads like "Does this make me gay?" or "I'm bi but i prefer.." or "I'd fuck a [same sex] but i'm still straight".... and it made me wonder if people actually has completely different definitions of "straight". So I thought of a couple of scenarious, and i wonder what you think is the most "normal" way of thinking for straight people. And if you are straight yourself, please tell which one is most "you".

1. "I'd never ever touch a [same sex] sexually, it totally grosses me out"

2. "Maybe i'd do gay/lesbian sex if i was paid a lot of money"

3. "Actually, the thought of trying gay/lesbian is an exciting fantasy, but it's just that, and i prefer [other sex]"

4. "Maybe I'd try it out if the person was really goodlooking / well equipped"

5. "I prefer [other sex], but i'd definetly give a [same sex] a try if i had the chance and the situation was safe"

6. "I enjoy sex with both men and women, tho i'd never fall in love with and marry a [same sex]"

Just be who you are and forget the titles. If you worry about what it is called you aren't being yourself.

Ahhh.. Ich nehme Nummer sechs, bitte..

[Translation]

Ahhh.. I'll take number six, please..

[Edited: To include the fact that I am definitely bi-sexual, but am still thought of as being straight..]

This would be a pretty good poll I think.
Labels suck but I like 4 & 5.

I'm somewhere between 1 and 3. I think I'm an above the waist closet bi-curious.

perky ;)

I suppose that what i was wondering is something like:

"How much are you allowed to do/think about/try before you are no longer defined as heterosexual or straight?"

anyways, I know labels suck but people keep labeling themselves and referring to labels all the time, so i was curious to find out how much is tolerated from a "straight" person.

I think you need to add a pole to this thread, if you're going to give multiple choice definitions.

*laughing*

labels come in two forms.
how you label yourself
and how others label you.

if you see two guys walking down the street holding hands you might label them as homosexual.
Does that mean they fucked each other in the ass? It might be a married guy holding another man's hand for the first time, because he's interested in what it feels like to be intimate with a man.

If you're introspective enough, you know what you are.

There isn't a defining line. You know if you want the same sex or not.

Straight:

Extending continuously in the same direction without curving.
