Any advice, tips, or pointers that anyone can give me I would greatly appreciate!

The thing that stuck out at me is "he goes fast"...it might work better if he doesn't move at all, and just lies back while you do your magic. If you're in control, you'll be more comfortable, and will probably be able to work more of it in. Focusing on swallowing when it gets to the usual gag point also helps along with relaxing your throat.
