Today, I started loading my 20 year old collection of vintage toys and model cars on to ebay. The stuff has been packed away for almost 7 years. I never bothered to unpack it all after I moved out of my house. As I slowly unpacked it all to get it ready to photograph,I realized that I was deconstructing my life. All that I worked for is gone. The monies generated from the sale of items that once had meaning for me will go to pay my former wifes portion of my childrens orthodontic work. 3 years and she hasnt paid a dime.:( I have one payment left on my half. The orthodontist will remove the appliances only if my Xs portion is paid. Im not angry at the sale of these items, as the money goes to a cause greater than me. I'am disappointed in a Domestic Court System that does'nt give custody to the most responsible parent.:( Oh Well........Its just stuff.....

But it's more than just stuff to you. If you have to do it, though, you have to. Get the best pictures you can. *Nods.* Start a new collection of things.

I don't mean to laugh, as your story is sad, and touches my heart.

But what are your kids supposed to do? Leave their braces on for umpteen (sp?) years? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard!!

With out without collections, noone can take your memories away.
Hang in there. I'm sorry.

Its ok to laugh! Im feeling better now anyway. I quess what bothers me the most is that in 3 years the x has paid not a cent on their braces. Hell, If it werent for me pushing the issue they would never make it to their appointments. Since we live in different cities it makes it difficult for me to make the arrangments. The important thing is that they get them removed:) Thanks everybody for your thoughts:)
