Decadents and Dropouts IC

Relic

Crossing her legs, Relic looked rather sad as well. Mainly for him though. To be without love, or pleasure in life would kill her. It was one reason she enjoyed the occasional guilt free stints in the hay. But to have never experienced it? That was crazy.

"How old are you?"

Her question was merely to gauge how long he has lived without.

"Surely by now Phyliss has pleasured you? I cannot imagine her not being fully willing to do so. Not to say she is easy, but more that she seems to have great feelings for you. Its obvious for how much she worries for you. As annoying to you as that might be."

Trunfor Blackheart

Trunfor looked up, "Age.. I`m 33 years old which is adulthood for me. 16 year old is adulthood for humans. If I were human, I`d be equivilent to a 19 year old. But due to my fiendish heritage, I could live for years, many years."

She nodded at her second comment, "Phyliss has partially pleasured me but we haven`t mated."

Relic

"I worried for a moment that you had walked this earth for hundreds of years without experiencing it. For 33, although I started a lot younger, it isn't as bad as I expected. But its obvious you suffer due to it, not just from not taken part in sex, but in not having experience the closeness, trust and passion one can get from it."

Looking down at her hands, she wondered just how Phyliss had partially pleasured him. And was also in part glad that she had been interrupted that first time. For him, it should at least be a planned event.

"I'm stopping myself for now, but I do hope we'll have the opportunity to continue where we left off in the tavern. At least down here there are no windows I can jump out of."

Punching him lightly in the shoulder, with a grin on her face, she looked up at the roof. Wondering how the conversation with Phyliss was going.

"I'm around fifty, but am still considered only barely an adult by my people. Actually, I never underwent a coming of age ceremony, so I am still but a child to them. Luckily, I don't care so much for their standards and practices. Although, deep down, I hold back my more...sinister fantasies."

"Humans have taught me one thing, morality...to some extent."

((bbl, I have to go into town. May post tonight, or tomorrow. Sorry. Feel free to leave Relic if the others get online. ))

Trunfor Blackheart

Trunfor smiled and laughed, something else he had rarely done, "If I where alive for hundreds of years, I`d be a lot different. Though I may live that long. May half fiends don`t lie long enough to die of old age."

He looked her in the eyes and smiled, "You wish to continue what left off in the tavern? If so, I look forward to it. I`ve always been interested in mating and felt the drive. If you truely wish to continue then I thank you."

Trunfor got up and nodded to her, "Thank you Lady Relic for this conversation, it has made me feel.. better." Then he walked out of her room and back to his books.

Phyliss Ovida

Phyliss leant over the reiling.
"I'd love to see you over her. My crew will just tighten the cog so far. An we are going in the opposite side of the fire in the dogs." she had to grin at the last word. So the news have travelled really fast much faster then she thought. Maybe she would learn more about it.
"You might be surprised by my friends, but I knew that you are not intolerant towards the more unusual creatures like me. If i faintly renember, you weren't disturbed by my rubbing snakes as we danced."
Phyliss hoped that she renembered right and did not mix him up with another guest, as she had been really intoxicated while dancing, and later passed out on some table, between many empty goblets, awaking very much later under a blanket on a diwan, while some unknow, attentive helper had freed her from her clothes.

Trunfor Blackheart

Examining his new gifts, Trunfor was amazed by there quality and how unique they were., then he wondered what Relic had gone through to get these. How much had they cost?

Setting them aside Trunfor got up and listened to what Phyliss and the stranger were talking about. Great, another person. Sighing he began to think of which spell he should use to hide is appearence.

After some thought, he decided to use a Polymorph spell, backed up by a Nondetection spell so as to stop the stranger from seeing his true form. After some concentration, he muttered the spells, and released them. After several seconds, the spells were finished, and he was now in the form of a crow.

Relic

It must have been the first time, at least by accident that Relic had managed to make someone feel better by talking to them. Usually she caused more harm then good, although, usually she would probably have just dragged Trunfor into her room, locked the door and started to have her own way. But she knew now, that to get along she had to think beyond her own immediate desires, wants and needs.

She wanted sleep firstly, or at least some time for meditation. So she closed her door lightly, and lay back on the fur rug. Closing her eyes she put her arms across her stomach, one on each dagger just in case she was awoken by some disturbance. It would take a second or two to get onto the deck if she had to. Although, with new company...a second or two might be all they needed.

Opening her eyes, she sighed. Sleep could wait.

Climbing to her feet, she left her room and headed up the stairs. Pausing for a moment before smiling in the crows direction. At least if this was a human out to kill odd creatures, Trunfor right now would be the most likely to escape. Apart from his pact to die in Phyliss place. She would probably be one of the first, since most found her the better catch.

Once up on deck, Relic paused. That voice.

Moving over to stand with her back against from the mast, she knew it would do her very little. But she also worried about the danger the rest of the crew might be in. Kasmir was known to her as well, many years ago. Not in a bad light, but then again, he was dangerous to those who he didn't spare.

<I wonder. How has this well travelled merchant aged in the years that have passed?>

Trunfor Blackheart

Trunfor saw Relic pass by and decided to follow her. He needed to see who this stranger was, plus, this form wouldn't last very long.

Spreading his wings, he flew off towards the upper deck. To better enhance his disguise, he would act as a familiar to Phyliss.

Landing on her shoulder he sent his thoughts towards her, It`s me, Trunfor. I`m in disguise. Pretend I`m your familiar. I want to learn more about this stranger without revealing what I am.

Ma'ant'Zek'Ur

"Correct again, my good lady.", Kasmir spoke as he gladly jumped over the railing, taking just enough impulse to land softly just beside Phyliss. And at once, without a spoke word at all, his own vessel started to turn around, it's sailors working mechanically to bring the ship around.

Extending his mind around, Ma'ant sped up his psionic senses to hear a trully miscellaneous collection of thoughts - as any psiker creature - except that his instintive and natural use of the abilities managed for hi to discern the origins...

"And I most surely doubt that any of..."

But... what was... he had read through the... crow mind. A crow that did not think like a bird at all. Care should be taken, and he would act in disregard to the creature. However, that was just the very beggining of his surprise.

For Ma'ant had heard a thought... whose sweet voice he had not heard since... many years ago. Turning around towards the emerging drow... he was open mouthed with pleasant surprise.

<Not as finely as you, my old... lover.>, the thought echoed about Relic's mind, the ever-knowing tone of Ma'ant in the voice of Kasmir.

Relic

As Kasmir boarded the vessel, Relic stepped out from behind the mast so that he could see her clearly. Below her, still partially out of view, Gryph sat quietly. It seemed for now he would keep the conversation between Phyliss and Kasmir.

<I disagree, you look even more rich.>

Glancing at Phyliss, Relic shrugged her shoulders, wondering if Kasmir's reaction would point out the relationship or at least the fact that they knew each other. For now, they didn't know he could speak into peoples minds. And it was one part of him that she wouldn't tell about, as long as he kept his mindflaying to himself.

<Does Phyliss know of your true form and abilities? Speaking of, what is your reason for joining us today?>

Walking forwards to lean on the railing of the cog, Relic nodded to Kasmir.

"Nice to meet you, again. Did I steal from you?"

Phyliss Ovida

Phyliss stepped forward to Kasimir. She did not huug him, as they did not so close, although he touched her before. She reached her hand to him. "That is my friend Relic, you seem to know her already. And over there is my friend Gryph, who protects the cog. On the aft is the first mate Skandölf, guarding over my little crew. And this...she looked to the crow...is our dear mascot."
She assumed that Kasimir might not believe that she had a familiar. As far as she knew only witches had such, and she wasn't a which or even a decent mage. She just knew some spells to protect herself, and she kept some of them secret to public.

Trunfor Blackheart

Trunfor acted like a familiar. Almost all arcane spell casters had familiars; wizards, sorcerers, nobles, hexblades, and many others. Trunfor suddenly remembered that he himself didn`t have a familiar. He had always been too busy to worry about one and plus, it would be more of a problem than an asset. Maybe sometime in the future he could summon one, he know a few creatures during his travels.

Returning back to the present, Trunfor cocked his head when Phyliss introduced him.

Ma'ant'Zek'Ur

"Indeed, you've did.", he walked by the deck to close into Relic, "More than you may think."

<You have aged finely, my good Relic. You've become quite a voluptuos woman...>, he propagated his thoughts into the drow's mind, his words echoing at her senses as he tried to wash her mind with his presence. It had been... quite some time. <Yes... and no. She knows Kasmir and Ma'ant'Zek'Ur, but ignores they are one and the same.>

But that was Ma'ant. Kasmir took both hands togheter, and bowed slightly towards all in a simple, uncommon greeting. Turning back towards Phyliss, he smiled kindly towards her. Of course they were not close, but he liked to count the gorgon amongst his friends. Even after their rendezvous...

"It was quite... a surprise to meet you here. I've heard about the fire,,, and I know that you must surely know about it."

<Relic... we'll talk about whys... when we are alone.>

Relic

Imitating Trunfors actions as a crow, Relic cocked her head to the side as he explained her stealing more than she knew. But for now, he hadn't specified, so as far as the others knew it was some priceless artifact.

"In that case, when you are finished here you can find me below. If you want to talk it over. For now, I have a feeling you and Phyliss have catching up to do. Excuse me." She bowed her head slightly, before returning downstairs.

Would he have picked up on her change of heart from back when she was a child. Would he see the evils she had undertaken since leaving his side? Out of hurt for not understanding. Looking back, Relic couldn't believe her own lack of self control in not taking him moving on to heart. She was also to blame for not following, she wouldn't have done so.

Once back in her room, she thought back to the last time she had seen him. It had not ended in the best way, with her little temper and lack of experience in the ways of living. But she held nothing against him anymore, and hadn't for years.

In fact, she had returned to the shop where she had first met him, years after he had moved on from there. In hoped of explaining herself, and apologizing to a true friend.

<I will wait for you.>

Phyliss Ovida

"Don't be to harsh to her; I think you have overcome the thefts quite well." She looked over to his ship, and his dsplay of wealth.
"I did indeed hear about the fire. I wonder, have there been any reports of victims?"
Of course she wasn't so stupid to asked if baldie and her six villians had been found in the ashes, but if that did happen, it would have been reported in the rumors. She gently petted the crow on her shoulder.
"By the way, how's business? What fine goods do you take along? I still wonder if we could fix the boat a little up."

Ma'ant'Zek'Ur

<I'll be with you soon.>

Somehow, Ma'ant wished to follow Relic at once. It had been ages since their had their last rendesvouz. But he could not ruin it all now. After all, Phyliss was also his acquaintance - even though if not as close as Relic was. Turning back to Phyliss, he just hoped his human features would not ruin his feelings. Damned mammals. Their facial expressions were so denouncing.

"Worry not, my dear. It had been much time since we've seen each other. And we once... were close."

"I've heard about three deaths in the fire, their corpses shrunken by the fire and blackened like a starless night
."

Kasmir closed into Phyliss, watching as Relic went downstairs, dissapearing into the bowels of the vessel. It was awnkward to meet her this way, after so long. He longed to be togheter with her again, but to betray himself before the gorgon would be a problem, no doubt.

"Phyliss, as you know I deal with luxury and spices. But I may be of help to you, after all. I do always bear sailcoth and wooden planks extra."

Phyliss Ovida

"Luxury just sounds perfect. We could do with some curtains, carpets and maybe wallcover... and cute, little table for deck wouldn't be bad either. We have provided for most else, so far... Maybe a little fine wine would do well, too." Phyliss smiled at the merchant, and found him still as attractive as before.
"Oh, by the way, have the dead been identified?"

Meanwhile, Skandölf sat behind the wheel. He could have told that carpets or even wall-carpeting wasn't a very good thing on a ship. They would get damp and mouldy very soon. Rugs, chushions and everything else moveable was ok, although they could get wet very easily, even below deck, and had to be dried up from time to time. But he would not mention it before the other captain was out of hearing range.

Ma'ant'Zek'Ur

"Curious enough, one of the carbonised bodies was. A local ruffian, it seemed."

The peddler that had told him about it was very descriptive as how he had spat over the body of the man, ravaged and licked by flames until only his size and earlier scars told of who the man was. A local villain that used to assault travellers around the country roads.

"We can always talk about it, my dear. I do bear many products, and quality wine is always one of those! If you'd like... I can call of a couple of flagons while we talk. Are you in a hurry to leave?"

Gryph

As it became clear that there was no threat forthcoming, Gryph settled back, the ring idly clutched in one hand and he nodded off to sleep once again.

Phyliss Ovida

"We are not in a hurry. I hope you are not, because I might have a drink with you then." the gorgon looked over to Gryph.
"You must forgive Gryph, he is recovering from an injurey."

Trunfor spread his wngs and flew off, knowing that Phyliss would want some time to catch up with this stranger. Since Gryph was asleep, Trunfor decided to follow Relic, and see if she knew anything about the stranger.

He arrived in Relic's room and he landed on the floor. Feeling the spell about to end, he released it and resumed his original form. "So. Who's the new guy?"

"So Gryph's the name? Quite an exquisitive character..."

Kasmir smiled, thankful that he would make for it and finally have some time with Relic after so long, once he had done his social experience with Phyliss - and that he did enjoy, after all. The gorgon was pleasant to look up, and most pleasant to hang around with.

"No need to worry.", he snapped a finger in the air, smiling towards the gorgon,"Would you show me around? I'm sure there are many of your partners I might be delighted to meet."

Phyliss Ovida

"Of course I like to." Phyliss linked arms with Kasmir and led him around the mast, where Gryph was still sleeping. "He is an unsual character, and very protective." she showed KAsmir onto the aft, and introduced the first mate, Skandölf.
"I can show you downstairs, if you like."

"Please, I'm looking for a full tour! Tell me... how about your journeys since we last met?"

Kasmir laughted as she took him around, his gloved hands caressing her arms as she linked hers with his, letting her lead him around, all the while distracting himself with both her exquisitive snakes waving around.

Phyliss Ovida

The gorgon walked over to the hatch into the cargo room, but took care to be slow and loud enough to give Relic and Tronfur time to prepare.
"Oh, my last stay at Baron Hordin turned out to be a bit unluckz, so I had to leave very fast and traveled quite far, until I ended in this country. From then on, life was a bit harsh and sometimes dangerous; I had to deal with slave hunters and revengeful barbarians, but I found some new friends and finally was able to get this cog. But be careful with the steps down."
