The only benefit was that I was always happy to hand out contraband copies of Harry Potter to her friends whose parents wouldn't let them read it, or to answer those questions that her friends had that made sex look like a badly-translated set of instructions for assembly of something horrid.

But I had too many references and books and eventually I just got "Geez, short question, too much information! No, I don't want to know!"

She did really like a book on a dominatrix I gave her once and it led to halloween costumes for her and a friend of hers that read it.

I hope you got at least some rebel fun out of it. But I apologize as moms should try to be as uninteresting as possible.

My daughter was happy when I didn't let the guys hit on me at her parties. I do have some decorum at least. If you can't stop them from hitting on you, at least don't...stand next to them. Find some appetizers and get a tray between you.

I haven't checked lately. At this point, maybe!

Oh, definitely. I stopped worrying about her a while back and only worry about the people trying to mess with her. She's awesome.

Whenever someone online would ask her what she looked like, she'd send a picture of Eddie Izzard.

That's funny. My dad is complete opposite. All he does is stand next to me and guys walk away
