I so enjoyed watching the Blacklist, especially James Spader, that I watched it twice, all 89 episodes.

I watched Boston Legal twice, just for the dialogue and speeches that James Spader makes. A bit corny for my taste especially with William Shatner and Candice Bergan, it's not as good as The Blacklist but I love the fast patter and banter of dialogue aimed at the college graduate instead of the junior high school students.

Suffice to say, my favorite actor is James Spader and my favorite writers are David E Kelley of Boston Legal and John Bokenkamp of The Blacklist.

Okay, granted that Spader is from Boston, where I was born, raised, and educated, and Kelley is from Maine but with Bokenkamp from Nebraska, Warren Buffet territory, their gift for writing dialogue is truly amazing.

As a bonus, I didn't know that David E Kelley was married to Michelle Pffeifer, one of my favorite actresses. Wow, seemingly having it all, a Princeton graduate and a lawyer, he's a lucky man.

A real TV junkie, in addition to watching the BlackLis, and Boston Legal over again, I watched Games of Thrones, Justified, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Deadwood, The Americans, Westworld, The Wire, The Sopranos, Downton Abbey, Fargo, and The Big Bang Theory over again too.

Thank God for Netflixs and Amazon TV (lol).

Raymond Reddington is undoubtedly one of the best characters on TV. It's tailor made for the dry delivery of Spader, so rich with sang froid. I feel that they don't write as well for him in the last several seasons - In the early ones, I would stop and play back his lines on occasion. Great show still, although they've moved a lot of the characters in and out of confusing motivations (the former Massad agent for one). Still love the show.

I love James Spader. Him and John Cusack are my favorite actors. I don't know how I feel about parts of Boston Legal now. Their portrayal of someone with Aspergers is not great.

After watching every episode of the Blacklist you can’t imagine Reddington as anyone but James Spader. He’s made the role his own. The other characters could be swopped for other actors but not him. The first episode with him in the FBI reception and them going to collect Elizabeth Keen with all the cars and even a helicopter makes me laugh even now.

John Cusack. I’ve watched Con Air so many times with him and Nicolas Cage. It’s a terrific example of sitting down for a couple of hours with a few beers and escaping from the real world. Naturally John Malkovic steals the film and LeAnn Rimes sings “How can I live without you” beautifully.
