David Bowie

Will never be another like him. Long live Ziggy Stardust!! RIP David Bowie you will be missed.

Just one more sign I'm getting old. :(

Saw him twice in the 80s, what a memorable experience, both times.

He will be missed, but he will also be remembered!

I was shocked to here of his passing this morning. I really liked him & his music.
Hubby & I were lucky to see him in Toronto before we were married in 2004.

Great showman, saw him back in '87 Glass Spider tour at Giants Stadium. Was a amazing show!

I m still in shock.... darn.... amazing artist.... amazing person.
He once came to the restaurant in NYC where I was a manager with his wife Iman... no fuss, no nothing, just having a great time.... perfect gentleman.
RIP wonderful David Bowie, but know you will be never forgotten, you legacy will survive us all.

I have this tangible feeling of loss. It's heartbreaking. Like there's a hole in the world where he used to be...

a great artist & man - he will be missed, but his music will live on!

remember seeing him on Top of the Pops, in the UK, in the early seventies and he did Starman - every body was talking about it the next day. We hadn't seen anything quite like him.

I saw him live twice...and he was amazingly cool both times.
That's probably the song he performed when I saw him on The Midnight Special. Up to that time I had only heard Space Oddity, the song pfflyerhot alludes to in her post on the radio. But watching him on that tv show is what turned me on to him. I wasn't familiar with the song but I remember he was in a glittery body suit with his red hair. During the song he did some mime.

Shortly after Diamond Dogs came out & that became a favourite album.

I recently saw Sir Paul & Ringo during John Lennon's 75th birthday celebration. They're looking pretty good. I think they'll be around for a good while yet.

Some years back Roger Daltry said him & Pete will be performing well into their 90's.

It's Robert Plant who I think will go soon.

What a magnificent run he had. Music is all the better because of him. I was a big fan. He will be missed.

I just watched David Bowie's last video ....the song " Look Up, I'm in Heaven " from his album "Blackstar "....very eerie...

And Heroes is in The Replacements.

His last tunes released were very eerie. You know what he was thinking when he wrote them.

Having to run out to the store a little earlier, the dj was talking about how these musicians tend to burn through their money but David left his family $197 million.
