Sitting in the kitchen over a steaming cup of coffee, I enjoy the simple pleasure of this little ritual I've been unable to partake in for months. After living a nearly feral existence for far too long, I take an extra moment to relax and enjoy the morning cup. Such a small thing, taken for granted for so long, but today it is sublime in its reminding me of my essential humanity.
 
I'm taking the jeep and going for a drive. The old one has been sitting too long and it's batteries could use the recharge. I don't want them to develop a "memory" for being maintained at such a low level and leave us stuck when we need them.

So, if anyone wants to go sight seeing, grab a weapon or six, and meet me at the motor pool. There's room for three more in that old M38A1.

We might even pick some strawberries while we're at it.
 
Strapping my katana across my back, grabbing my H&K 416 and plenty of magazines, and heading to the motor pool with a new spring in my step. A ride.....I haven't been aboard a running vehicle in what feels like forever. This is turning out to be a good day.

*Waits by the jeep, shaking my head, bemused by the back and forth regarding strawberries. Checking my action and magazines, taking one last opportunity to ensure everything is just right before leaving the bunker.*

Oh, it's going to be like that, is it? We start with the name calling and before you know it, it'll be "Whore" and "Slut" and then we'll be all nekkid again and never get any strawberries! lol!
