It was a gross generalization to assume that it is only the younger women who think they are too good to date due to their looks and expendable income. Or that older women think younger men only want sex... hey, we think older men only want sex too. Or that women want their husband or b/f to look like a male film star.

First thing i look for is the face. If i like it then all the better. Second does she make stupid comments about things. Its a turn off. She also needs to be honest and have things in common with me. I checked out the site. It was interesting. Huh, I must be feeling rather friendly today, I even dug around in it a little bit.

Since I don't have breast implants or fake fingernails, I am hardly qualified to speak for anyone who does. Nor can I provide you with an educated argument on those issues without any formal training OR personal life experience pertaining to them.

MY POINT WAS: It is very interesting to see that finding a mate is treated as selling oneself. Although there is a certain amount of "sales" involved (display, presentation, benefits, durability), I don't think you can "make" someone be attracted to you any more than you can make them indulge in the major purchase of something they don't really want. If you are able to do that, you have certainly used sugar-coating and trickery, which is exactly what the article suggested you do. The receiving party of such antics would eventually realize their mistake in falling for such deliberate misrepresentation, feel duped and become resentful. Therefore, I contend that you would get much further by being genuine and honest in your flattery of a woman.

Before you get bent out of shape, I do not intend for you to replace any of the above "yous" with the name De Sade. I am making generalizations and freely admit that fact. Might I ask why you posted a link on the original topic if you did not wish it to bring us back to the topic? Hmmmm????

I agree. Being genuine is the best policy. There are however SOME women who are frightened by honesty because they aren't used to it.

Yes, but that certainly isn't a reason to avoid the policy. If a woman is scared of your honesty, she'll either learn to adjust to it or run away. My SO is very painfully honest... while it took some getting used to, I'd much rather have it that way than any other.

NO. However, I would agree that SOME women try just as hard as SOME men to attract partners via trickery.

I also cannot agree that ALL women who have breast implants or fake fingernails did these things to attract a partner. It is my guess that most have other reasons altogether. A close friend of mine would like breast implants. She has been married some 17 years and being smaller in the chest than her four daughters is tough on her. As for the fingernails... when you look at a woman with long purple fingernails, you KNOW they aren't really purple, so that is hardly trickery. When I see a man with a goatee, I know it didn't just grow like that. Yet, rather than assuming a trickster, I have to admire (or admonish) his grooming capabilities.

Seeing how my mother did nails for ever i will say something. If you consider that trickery then.....um......wake up. Where in the world do you get trickery? Besides whats wrong with long finger nails? Men are attracted to them, just like why women wear lipstick. Most make-up is supposed to do that. If you really do like women doing that, than i suggest moving back to the middle ages.....wait strike that cave man...wait strike that nvm just find that bridge. (This does not mean you are a troll. Breast implants are fine as long as they change them every few hundred thousand miles
