I welcomed my customers, as I mingled around the room. I went over to the bar to check on Red.
"Looks like you know what your doin, so if you need anything, let me know."
As I began to walk away, the was a shiny object by the cashregistar, that caught my eye. As I approched it, I realized it was the watch I found on my bike seat, and the note was still attached. I stood for a moment thinking that I should do something about it. I stuck the watch in my pocket, so I could take care of it later.
As I traveled from table to table, I kept looking for Jim. He had not returned. I was getting a bit nervous that he might not showup for our night. I looked back towards the bar, Red seemed to be just fine, and he has fit right in with no hesitations, and the customers seemed to really like hims as well.
Red looked up to wards me and I gave him a smile and a thumbs up. He smiled back and continued to fill the drinks.
There were so many customers tha have now become friends. They joked around with me like always. When the music began to play, the all new that it was show time. As the dancers begun their routines, all eyes were on them. So I took a moment, went to the office, took the watch out of my pocket. I read the note again, and picked up the phone to call. The coment,..."You owe me a watch" kept ringing in my ears like a bad dream. I couldn't place which customer it belong to.
The phone began to ring, 1 ring, 2, 3, 4, 5... I was about to hang up when I heard a mand voice answer...
"A, yes, I think I have something that belongs to you...I found a watch sitting on the seat of my harley, with a note saying I owe you a new watch...Im sorry, but I don't understand. Would you clairify this."
To say the least, I was nervous as to who I owed the watch to and why.
