I wasn't whining or anything about changing my plans...your last post just convinced me the time to attack was now rather than the next day.

Man, that's a real, bummer, especially since you were great as Renee DW, but real life takes precedence. So take as much time as you need to get whatever has happened sorted out.

So what are we going to do guys? Should we offer the role of Renee to someone else, or should we kill the character off?

Renee is pretty critical at this point. let's see if somebody wants her before we kill her off.
She is a major complication in Johns life and the developing relation ship between John and Trinity and Elysia..so I would hate to kill her off now ,pluse she would continue to be a problem for Alejandro...Keep him busy and looking over his shoulder.

Just my two cents..and I can think of a few people who I think could pick her up at this point, but I I am sad to see DW have to drop her. We all know about RL so don't feel bad DW.
I am hoping maybe we can get someone to "sub" until you can comeback.

If it is alright with Day, I would prefer to 'recast' Renee, whether that is temporary or permanently is up to both Day and the original cast (Ezra and Wolfie). I agree with Ezra, Renee is a pivotal point for the story so to kill her off would destroy a large chunk of the storyline.

Okay finally back from seeing my hubby after 6 long weeks of him being away. I just got caught up on this thread, now to work on getting caught up in the story again.

Yes I like everyone's ideas and even with Trinity's gift I think maybe a bit off the mark than usual yet at the same time more protective of sorts of Elysia.....I will work on it. It make take me a day or two to get my head back in order here, but fear not I will get there

And please do not rush. That is the last thing I want anyone to feel.

On a side note, I took in everyone's suggestion about writing the nurse. I'm afraid that I don't feel comfortable writing such a character. And as it stands I am in a rather painful and frustrating writer's block. I didn't want to add more pressure on myself. I am already upset that I am not getting my other posts completed or to the ability and standard I am usually writing at.

So, I have asked Monique_Minx if she would like to play the temp role of the nurse. I thought that she would bring justice to the character but selfishly, it was also because I wanted to write with her briefly and take some pressure off of myself. I'm sorry of this causes any trouble. She hasn't accepted or denied the role as of yet.

Anyway, I have rambled on long enough.

Shy I did have a great time. It was nice to see him and spend time with him and the girls together as a family after almost 6 long weeks away.

As for the nurse, if you feel confident in Monique to take on the temp role then I am all for it. I understand trying to take on more than your brain can handle. I have found that coming back I am having to get my brain in the mindset of writing again.

I hope to have something written up tomorrow and posted if Ezra wants me to post first.

I hate to do this to you Vixen, but I think your next, unless DW can get one worked up. I have no clue what John is going to do right now..he terrified and ecstatic at the same moment.

I was thinking he would come in to the middle of the encounter between the nurse and Trinity...unless the is going to be something happening with Elyisa and the nurse first?
any way I don't have a clue what to do with John right now.

Awesome, Minx has joined our little gang.

Unfortunately, our characters are on two very different sides of a war, Minx, and if your character is only a temporary role we might not cross paths at all. That'd be a bummer, but such is life on the forums, right

I'll put up my next post tomorrow, its a one off where I'll introduce the kiddo (whom I've decided to call Bobby from Ezra's suggestion) and won't require any one to respond and will free me to angle Allejandro for that face off with Renee when DW and Luna are done with their scene.

Okay Trinity is up and probably one of my more crappy posts....sorry, but I hope it helps tie things a bit more together.

I just wanted to show why Trinity didn't up and 'feel' the vampire nurse from the start.

Well I was going to suggest that you post after Wolf_Vixen placed her post. I figured you may wish to play with the troubled Elysia and Trinity. Perhaps the nurse comes in to check on her 'stats' as a routine and she picks up on something about Trinity. Or maybe the nurse is just bored and finds pleasure in toying with someone so seemingly weak as Elysia. *shrugs* Either way I figured it would be a good place for you guys to start the 'trouble'.

From my idea in my head the nurse is a fairly old vampire...but the job of scanning vampire victims isn't exactly a prestigious job. I figured maybe she did something to piss Renee off so she got summoned to the duty for several decades. But she isn't the type to sit idle and let time pass, so she is making due with what she has and is finding her joy in what little passing she can get her hands on. She has dignity and arrogance mixed with a deadly sense of propriety and grace. Well, that is what I was aiming for. But, if you don't like this then scrap it. The character is now yours and you can do what you see fit. Just enjoy yourself, that is my main goal.

And if you like the thread well enough perhaps you can take up a more permanent role. From memory we still have a nun vampire that Veroe may wish for you to play. That way you can play with your sister Luna and Master Veroe

Ezra you are sorta in the middle right now... evil and yet not.....

We will win you to a side. Good is getting their butt kicked because they are too good *laughs* now that is a first, being too good.

That's the idea, Vixen, it's much more dramatic when the good guys are the underdogs and are inches away from obliteration. It makes it all the more satisfying when the good guys rally to win the day. Right now we're in the setting the bad guys up as an unsurmountable obstacle and gathering the good guys together stages.

I see Renee as one of the good guys, though not by choice. She'll probably be alot like the Hulk in the Avengers or Spike in the fourth season of Buffy, a loose cannon just as liable to blow up in their faces as work with them. Especially with her seriously hating on Jon and Trinity right now. But with her house in ruins and most of her people dead, and Allejandro seriously wanting her dead and all she's acheived as head of the society torn down, she won't have too many options left but to throw in with the good guys.

And, DW, a card you can use on Lillith is that Renee knows full well the drawbacks to using the elixir, How it is ultimately toxic, and is pretty much a death sentence to any vampire too young or too weak to survive the withdrawal period of it. Probably won't work on Lillith, since Luna has her worshipping Allejandro as her new god so much, but he neglected to mention the drawbacks to it, and the others in Lillith's team are more pragmatic than she is. They may not take the fact that Allejandro is effectively playing russian roulette with their lives quite so stoically.
