real or imagined? Intentional or accidental? Was just reading the Wikipedia article about the apparent synchronicity between the Pink Floyd album, Dark Side of the Moon and the movie, The Wizard of Oz. Very interesting. The band maintains it is not intentional but the incidences listed seem too numerous and perfect to be accidental. Has anyone tried this? They do mention it is a bit out of sync if watching the European version because of the different play rates on videos.

I've watched the synchronised film. It takes some hard work to see those "perfect and numerous" coincidences, honestly. Being stoned helps...

The dancing, singing Munchkins are perfectly in step with the song "Money" but- so what? The song was written with a foursquare Oom-pah-pah beat. It's a classicly dance-able beat. And what does a satire on greed have to do with a delegation welcoming a visitor to its country?

I did NOT see many points where the words or mood of the music really matched the action of the film. Musical segueways don't match filmic ones, in most cases.

The chronically depressed mood of Roger Waters matches somewhat the first part of the film, shot in in hopeless black-and-white. But it would match the mood of so many films even more accurately.
