Damn those gays for destroying the institution of marriage with their happy marriages and shit.

How dare they want to marry their partners.

Countdown to someone comparing gay marriage to a man marrying an animal/child/multiple wives ............

I love Dan Savage! Good for him and his hot blonde husband (even though I don't get what's so appealing about marriage)

I have no idea who that is, but so-called "same-sex "marriage"" is not a marriage, nor will it ever be, regardless of the terminology a government puts on it.

As to comparing it to heterosexual polygamy, no I make no such comparison. There is nothing biologically abnormal with heterosexual polygamy.

Family values advocates have moved on from this "issue" because we know that these things are not "marriages." Its just a financial contract. Heterosexual partnerships will always be distinct and different.

It's about time gays had to suffer the pain, anger and recrimination of marriage that the rest of us have to.

Actually, it's a remarriage. Savage and his husband, Terry Miller, were first married in British Columbia in 2005. But now that it' legal in Washington (where they live) they've done it again.

and there's nothing biologically abnormal about animals of the same sex humping the hell out each other and forming relationships. hell, it happens all the time. nature is simply overflowing with gay sex and that is awesome.

lol @ biology re: marriage

Also lol @ people who still think homosexuality is just a choice. Because no one was ever born gay, ever.

I'm going to become ordained as a minister through some website. I am then going to buy another male ferret and video myself marrying him to the other male ferret.

This will prove many things.

like, I have too much time on my hands

and, ferrets enjoy being video'd getting married

also, anything on youtube involving cute animals will get many many hits.

No reason for there to have been selection away from any gay sex; evolution only cares about stuff that has bearing on your survival, and being gay at camp doesn't meet that criteria. The people making evolutional arguments usually try to say that exclusively gay people are an anomaly because they don't advance the species. Problem is, apparently the "gay gene," whatever/wherever it is, evolved in tandem with whatever genetic string helps us produce insulin. So it's as "natural" a part of the human genome as anything else is--and yes, advances the species. There are other theories that stand next to this one--the "gay uncle" theory, which works with the "grandmother" thing, and regards the role caretakers took in advancing the species--but that's the one that most closely ties gayness to biological necessity.
