My second favorite would be the kohl's big one plush throw. Nice thing about kohls is sales and stacking deals. See kohls activates new promos at midnight eastern time, but doesn't kill the old ones to until midnight central, so you can easily stack a sale price with 30% whole order, $10 off $50 home, 25% off home, $10 off $20 whole order. so get like 4 blankets at $50 and pay $12. just a tip if ever shopping for home goods, clothing, shoes etc. (fyi, order of operations on application of discounts is department codes dollar off, department code percentage off, whole order dollar off, whole order percentage off)

and crystal girl quite yesterday in lieu of being terminated. Her supervisor took her into the field. She accepted an outside sales position, a cold outside sales position. It is not an easy job. 70% is stopping random people and selling to them, 30% is entering the orders and following them to make sure everything goes ok (like if there is a scheduling issue). Anyway he took her out and demoed, then fell back and observed. She simply wasn't stopping and talking to people, just walking around and playing on her phone. So he intervened and explained that isn't how it works, you have to actually talk to people to sell something to them. Apparently talking to strangers gives her anxiety attacks so she can't do it. Now I have seen people apply for jobs they weren't qualified for, I have seen people pull some major shit, but in all my life with this company, my last one, or working sales and marketing prior, I have never seen someone accept an outside commissioned sales position while knowing they are unable to talk to people. I don't see how this would work. It would be like sitting there wearing a girl scout t-shirt expecting people to chase you down and ask about cookies. That is not how it works. So yeah, let's see who the choices and winner are today.

I never understood how people can do “cold selling” certainly not me. Not surprising she left.

It’s funny (ironic?) that as I read your post, I received a call from a copier salesperson (well, that’s what caller ID indicated at least). These salespeople (copiers, postage machines, printers, etc) - I don’t know how they do it. Day in and day out just randomly knocking on doors. Our building is locked, so they need to rely on phone calls now as we wouldn’t let in a random salesperson. Based upon your previous description of crystal girl, it’s entirely possible she didn’t understand what the job actually was prior to accepting. Or maybe she was desperate and tried to convince herself that she could do it (more likely the former theory). Maybe she’ll try a job with built-in leads like home improvement projects.
Oh, did I mention you have great tits? They accentuate your work outfit very nicely.

it isn't a job for everyone. I actually did really well at it. Not for this company, but my first non sucky jobs (like waitress) often involved cold sales. I find that finding common ground is very helpful.
