Well, we are still above ground but it was pretty damn depressing. Don't know how much of my rambling you read, but in the past I have mentioned my favorite school mom friend. She was my favorite because she marched to her own drum, didn't have a stick up her ass, was sweet but fiery, and made me look all tame and reserved lol. The down side to her that I mentioned was she had a habit of being late to pick up her kids when she left them here (though in her defense, single mom is a hard life, I don't blame her for being slow on the pick up). Her eldest is my 6 year old son's friend and classmate, we met in pre-k. Well, she is dead. The 3 year old is dead too. My son's friend is in the icu (doing great). Anytime a kiddie coffin comes in the picture, it sucks, but we can only get the things done that need to be done. Her dogs have all been placed as of Wednesday, her estate is non existent so settled, they were buried Thursday, his birthday was in the hospital Friday, her best friends plan to take custody of him when released. Can't guarantee it will play out that way long term, I am sure there policies in place, so I gave dcfs my contact info just in case placement falls apart, but yeah, back to the status quo I guess. nothing to do now. Aren't you glad you asked?

I'm very sorry. No 6 yo should be depraved of his/her mom. But though it hurts to hear about horrible things like this I'm glad AP asked. Bad things don't go away just by keeping them inside.
 
I’m so sorry to hear about your friends. That is absolutely heartbreaking. No words can express it all sufficiently. I hope that, while we only exist for you in the ether, we can provide some comfort in some way. Always being there for those you care about is the least any of us can do.

Yeah, it is a shitty blow, on top of many other shitty blows related, and prior. The odds were not in his favor for a happy ending prior to this, it was going to be an uphill climb, but he literally just lost everything. His mother, brother, most of the pets, his place, his school, most all of his personal possessions. He just can't catch a break.

First of all, condolences on the loss of your friend. The death of a friend is tragic but when their children are involved it's devastating. I hope that her son either ends up with the other couple or with you.

Secondly, yesterday's and today's pic posts of you are exceptionally good. You really look great. :) Very, very sexy.

Thanks, it was a shock and a reminder. I am, of course, concerned for kid's friend, but what can be done is being done. All actionable steps have been taken. It is now just walking the path ahead, seeing what obsticals may arise, and if I can assist with mitigating them.

Thanks. Yeah, children do make it a much more bitter pill. They seem really determined to make it work and very optimistic.

And thank you. Though, really they are just regular bumming around thoughtless selfies. Exceptional is more thought out and well kick ass.

Fuck fuck fuck - sorry, I didn’t know, am behind on most things here. I am so sorry, it is obviously especially heartbreaking when kids are lost - I hope that kid finds some peace with support and counselling, :heart:

Thanks, and you could not have known. I didn't share, it was recent, while and why I was gone so long. I have mentioned them in passing, the same way we mention our days and lives. But yes, sucky situation. I hope so too.
