Damn great question!

This are interesting questions.
1. Yes it is different. The school will step in and apply discipline to the bully of the nerdy kid, but not to the bully of the LGTBQ kid.
2. Books are being removed from the curriculum.

Math books, Dungeons and Dragons, history and other nerd stuff right?

Is this different than when a non gay kid, like the nerdy guy with thick glasses, gets abused and harassed?

First of all, there's a very good chance that non gay kid is being bullied because the bullies think he might be gay. (Yes, I speak from experience. What of it?) Secondly, no, it's not different; but the people who support the "don't say gay" law tend to also be the type who would condone bullying in general. (The whole "schools should only teach the Three R's" argument has always gone hand-in-hand with opposition to any pro-tolerance measures whatsoever, in my experience.) Third, DeSantis' comments could just as easily be used to dismiss any efforts to stop bullying of any sort against any victim.

Okay, let's start at the beginning.

There isn't any "don't say gay law." That's a meme which was designed to fool the gullible into believing a lie so that the social change agenda could continue to be promoted. You fell for it. Which says a lot about your gullibility.

Second, singling a particular individual out does a disservice to the other victims of bullying. All are equally mistreated regardless of the reason and no individual needs different or special attention to denounce bullying than any of the other victims. To believe so places a class of victims ahead of the rest as if their being victimized isn't as horrible as the one you champion. All bullying is abhorrent and there are no victims of bullying who are less or more of a victim than any other.

Third, do you not understand that the press when pushing the lies they're crafting are attempting to manipulate YOU into a position whereby YOU are bullying not only DeSantis but ME too? The entire narrative is designed to get you upset so you fight back against what they tell you is hurting you even though nothing of the sort is going on. They're making YOU into the bully who will do their dirty work for them.

You should stop working to hurt yourself at someone else's direction and profit.

There is a don't say gay law. Teachers have already been fired by it and many teachers are leaving the state in response.
any so called teacher that needs the GAY AGENDA to talk in class should be fired

You are so ignorant. No teacher NEEDS to teach the gay agenda which isn't even a real thing unless you think wanting to be treated like a human being is an agenda. IF there is anybody who isn't a straight white male has an agenda they are pushing collectively labeled as woke. I get that basic respect is a foreign thought to you but still.

Should teacher be prohibited from having pictures of their families on their desks? I mean I fine with that, no "personal" items nor anything that would make your religion clear should be allowed. No comics since many are political. No Disney. Just things like flowers. I got no problem with that.
