Florida is banning highly reputable courses because they include acknowledgement of lives that are not heterosexual.

Florida is banning math and science (among other subjects too) curriculum for having samples or word problems or pictures that they think could be interpreted as supporting anything other than heterosexual relationships despite them being award winning and proven effective curriculum.

The list of reasons why this does have a lot to do with education and why it's terrible for Florida education is actually pretty long.

1. Yes it is different. The school will step in and apply discipline to the bully of the nerdy kid, but not to the bully of the LGTBQ kid.
2. Books are being removed from the curriculum.
