That happens to me all the f’n time!! It’s either that or a couple of weeks after I think of an idea, I see it advertised …

I learned to use a text editor on my phone, only to take notes about stories when I don't have a keyboard in front of me. It helps.

Maybe that was your idea. Doing something and then forgetting about it. Sounds like a cool story idea: the protagonist has a compulsive need for a certain sort of kinky experience and then as soon as they have it they completely forget about it. But the need to do it again continues.

Sounds like something Christopher Nolan would do if he made erotic movies.
