Well, crap, I wasn't the first one this time.

I voted other. Even though the fame and fortune would be nice, I like my privacy and when you're in one of those categories, you're under the microscope on a daily basis. I don't want my life ripped apart in the tabloids, people lurking in the shadows to get a pic of me doing something wrong.

I'll stay invisible. I like it much better.

When I was young I wanted to be a prominent distance runner, Suzy Favor was my idol, until she took on her latest career move.

An athlete for sure. I dreamed of being in the Olympics in gymnastics & took it/competed from kindergarten to the end of high school. A dream that never happened.

L:rose:

That's an easy one for me. A famous athlete. I'm still working on becoming a grad prix/international horseback rider. It may not be the "traditional" athletic sport, but trust me, it is definitely a sport :)

Other. No desire to be famous at all. Too much crap goes along with that and I crave solitude and peacefulness too much.

Definitely a musician ... mostly a singer: that's what I wanted to be!

Alas, I'm totally tone deaf

I say athlete. All my 5 foot tallness would make a great basketball player, right? ;)

I'd rather not be famous at all.

I'll take the money... But that would be it. I want to be left alone.

As happens I have a fine singing voice. Over the years I've been asked to take solo parts in local amateur productions and events, sing with guys in our local school whose voices have recently broken and they're finding their way with tenor or bass - my range is both with ease which is a pleasure ...

So, yeah I have wondered sometimes if I might have made something of that ...

Tough world professionally, I know. But no harm in the dream eh?

ps: my total all time hero in terms of admiring his voice - the one and only Paul Simon.

I played college ball. Was considered and almost drafted out of Hitchcock but convinced the scouts I was going to college. Shredded my rotator cuff my freshman year and was pretty much done after that. I miss playing on that level but playing softball and drinking a pitcher of beer after the games is a close 2nd.

Other- If I have to be in the lime light, I'd rather it be as an author under a nome de plume. I'm not an athlete, zero acting ability, and my musical abilities were standard.

I enjoy being well-thought-of amongst my small group of close friends, and I like being able to make new acquaintances easily, but I have no desire for fame on any level.

edit: if I could be good enough to be famous, without the fame, then it would be for singing.
I like singing for people, I only wish my voice were nicer.

*chuckles*

Imagine if your small group of close friends learned about your Lit activities ... ;)
