I jumped on a plane.
Flew over there with the maximum amount of luggage the airline allowed, and had several boxes of stuff packed and ready to ship, big furniture emptied and ready to be stored. 1st week was going to be a “visit” to see how things worked out, and if I decided to stay, the rest would be shipped. 3 days later we were shopping for home stuff and he was saying stuff like “I can’t wait to put a ring on this finger.” The relationship lasted about lasted 2.5 years. :x

EDIT: To be clear, that left me totally fucking damaged and not looking to repeat that experiment anytime soon!
