Hi Everyone,

I'm doing research for my upcoming NaNo novel and really need someone with more knowledge of Cuban culture, and specifically Cuban-American culture, who might be willing to answer questions for me as I go along.

Any takers? I'll be happy to repay in kind with any knowledge I may have (which admittedly isn't much... :) ).

Thanks in advance!

Nothing here either, may I suggest Googling for research?

Thanks Abs, I've been googling like crazy and have file after file of stuff. What I need is someone to bounce real things off of... Like "Would an unmarried 20 year old woman do XYZ?"
That kind of thing. I've got Cuban recipes, have been listening to Cuban music, have a list of Cuban first names and nicknames, have a handle on how Cuban last names work, etc etc etc. Just need a go-to person for cultural questions as they come up.

Thanks for the bump.
Anyone?
Anyone?

Lukewarm second-hand expertise available

Logo,
I'm far from an expert but I have edited some "report from Cuba" articles for a team of grad students who visit Cuba almost every year. Their primary focus is on social issues, politics, and religion, but other aspects creep in. Some of them are still at the uni, so I could probably pick their brains if you don't need reams of data.

If you want info, you'll probably have better luck emailing me through Wordsmit@literotica.org rather than CopyCarver. In some bizarre cybernetic mystery, Lit's server lets me into the boards only under one name/password and everywhere else under the other. Shout if I can help
