The only time I've seen this done successfully was when everyone posted as "unregistered." Otherwise you'll just get a string of people saying that they have crushes, but they won't reveal who they are.

Either way, be prepared for the naysayer brigade. You can always count on at least a handful of people saying this type of thread hurts people's feelings, or whining that they were not included.
