I never really thought about it in those terms before. But it was hell being a wog, or a first time crosser. You had to put your clothes on backwards, and crawl everywhere you went. The ones who had crossed before, the Shellbacks, all carried a 3 foot section of fire hose, with one ended rolled and taped as a handle. Generally, the Shellbacks of each division led there own group of wogs around, but if some outside Shellback wanted to beat your wog, you allowed it. There was a lot of humiliation. Things like peanut races where wogs would push peanuts across the deck with their noses in 10 yard races while Shellbacks would whamp them on the ass as if they were horses. I remember one guy was in drag. A bikini and wig. Actually he looked pretty good, but we had been at sea for a while. They made us crawl up to him/her and ask to eat her pussy. And there was something, it seems like they called it the gauntlet where they had two rows of a hundred men and you had to crawl down the middle while they whipped your ass along the way. And then we crawled through a plastic tunnel filled with two week old trash.
I guess things are different now that women are on ships.
