Trump begins his roundtable event in Kenosha by suggesting attendees

Trump was joined by Attorney General William P. Barr, acting (temp) homeland security
Sec. Chad Wolf and others. The group was greeted at the airport by Trump loyalist slime,
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), who was wearing a face mask.

At a roundtable with law enforcement in Kenosha, Wis., Trump blamed radicals

(Presiderp) Trump also appeared to claim, without evidence, that the unrest ended soon
after the White House announced he was coming to visit.

“This ended within an hour, and as soon as we announced we were coming
and then they saw we were here,” Trump said.

AP via ABC 13.com: Victims of Kenosha protest shooting tried to disarm Kyle Rittenhouse:

Reports

Kenosha County prosecutors said in court records this week that the first person shot around
11:45 p.m. on Tuesday has been identified as Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, of Kenosha.

Joseph Rosenbaum

Prosecutors said Rosenbaum followed Rittenhouse into a used car lot, where he threw
a plastic bag at the gunman and attempted to take the weapon from him.

The medical examiner found that Rosenbaum was shot in the groin, back and left hand.
The wounds fractured his pelvis and perforated his right lung and liver. He also suffered
a superficial wound to his left thigh and a graze wound to his forehead.

Anthony Huber, 26, of Silver Lake, was shot in the chest after apparently trying to wrest
the gun away from Rittenhouse, the complaint said.

Hannah Gittings, Huber’s girlfriend, told WBBM-TV that he pushed her out of the way
before chasing after the man others on the street had identified as the shooter.

Anthony Huber

Huber’s friends gathered at a Kenosha skate park this week to remember him and his
passion for skateboarding. According to court records, Huber had a skateboard in his
right hand and used it to “make contact” with Rittenhouse’s left shoulder as they s
truggled for control of the gun….

The third man to be shot was wounded in the left arm. Court records said Gaige
Grosskreutz, 26, appeared to be holding a gun when he approached Rittenhouse
after he shot at Huber.

Grosskreutz is an activist who volunteered as a medic during the Kenosha demonstrations
according to Milwaukee activist Bethany Crevensten.

How to deal with violent unrest is becoming a major issue in the presidential
campaign. Many Democrats who do not support President Trump worry that
violent unrest lets him say the Democrats are weak on crime.

What's your level of concern that you may be inadvertently helping President
Trump's reelection efforts?

I think that it's important for people to realize that, again, the people who were killed
in Kenosha were protesters.

They were killed by people who felt that they had a responsibility to help things,
to help matters, to assist. Now law enforcement was already there. National Guard
was already there. They didn't need help. Yet these people were free to just walk
the streets with long rifles, intimidating people. I think that is the important thing
that people need to realize. And I hope that folks do understand that Republicans
continue to enable this sort of behavior, the sort of behavior that actually leaves
people dead.

Trump's trip to Kenosha for photo-op of convincing "damage"

(Trump's agitators and saboteur operatives have been tracked and spotted. Sellouts.)

Fresno Bee reports

11 a.m.

Trump says he’s heading to Kenosha, Wisconsin, to thank law enforcement and the National Guard “for a job well done.”

1 p.m.

Trump has arrived in Kenosha, Wisconsin, as he prepares to tour damage from protests
and violence that followed the Aug. 23 police shooting of Jacob Blake.

2:20 p.m.

Trump is meeting with law enforcement officers at a local high school
as part of his visit to Kenosha, Wisconsin.

2:50 p.m.

Trump says he’s committed to helping Kenosha, Wisconsin,
and is promising more federal resources for police and small businesses

3:25 p.m.

Trump says he doesn’t believe that there’s a problem with systemic racism in policing
as he wraps up a tour in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

When a reporter noted that many of the protests are peaceful, Trump objected.
He said “by and large, this is not peaceful protests.”

3:45 p.m

At least two people were carrying pistols in holsters, telling those around them
they were Trump supporters and had open-carry permits.

By mid-afternoon much of the crowd dispersed. A few motorcyclists remained,
with flags supporting Trump, and a booth nearby sold T-shirts supporting the
Black Lives Matter movement.

6:45 p.m.

Demonstrators marched through Kenosha after President Donald Trump wrapped up his visit to the area.

At one point Tuesday, protesters surrounded a man who they said was a member
of a white nationalist group. Police officers moved in quickly and pulled him away.
One officer pepper sprayed a woman.

Later, a man wearing a Trump hat and carrying a Trump banner was surrounded
by protesters. He walked back in retreat then struck out at a protester. The two fell
to the ground, struggling, then the man got up and walked away, heckled by protesters.

Earlier, a few hundred supporters and detractors of Trump gathered at an intersection
engaging each other in shouting matches. There were no reports of violence.

The point of Trump's trip to Kenosha ? Make headlines- stimulate his base.

A man’s business has just been destroyed, his entire livelihood burned to the ground.
a week later he gets a call from the White House, asking him to be in their photo-op
for President Shit-for-brains. Still traumatized, he respectfully declines to participate
in their circus. Now he finds out they went ahead with their photo-op anyway, using
the former owner as a stand-in.

There are no limits with Trump.

"A Kenosha business owner is accusing President Donald Trump of using his destroyed
store for political gain."

Gram said he got a call Monday from the White House asking if he’d join the president
on a tour that would showcase his leveled business, but Gram immediately refused.

“I think everything he does turns into a circus and I just didn’t want to be involved in it,”
Gram said.

To Gram’s surprise, he watched on TV as the president showed up with the store’s
former owner and President Trump made it seem like the store was still his.

bodysong comment-When I look at Trump talking in front of the camera, or a pic of Trump-
I find myself asking this question- What am I looking at ?

In this instance, I was looking at a pic, of a man holding up a pic, for the news photographer.

Funny enough, my eyes were lying to me, because someone decided to lie.
"Believe me, or the lies of your eye?" How about neither, and seek the truth
in the media, the journalists, and recent history ?

Feeling sympathy for someone that did not actually lose their business.
Then, again, there has been some evidence, that Trump's base has been doing
some looting and burning, of their own. If not inciting it, and taking part in
the destructive acts. Some of our more subversive American elements have
been caught cornering innocent, naive activists that lean to politics of the Left,
and trying to subvert the Left by using a criminal arsehole to mislead them
into bad shit.Thank goodness for American free speech and journalism.

Dirty and evil arseholes in positions of power, an old story.

There is a joke attached to Trump's reality TV attempt at grabbing some spotlight from Kenosha-

"OMG. Legit Crises Actors"

Almost amusing, considering how attached Trump's fellow conspiracy theory fans are,
to imagining "crisis actors" involved in any major crisis headline.

Are there any shreds of truth attached to the pic ?

The corrupted liar still owns the land that the photography shop sits on.
(why-the-fuck did he ruin the reputation of the business, if he collected on the lease ?)
Trump just promised money to rebuild and restart, from the fire.

The family business that existed before 2012, had a hundred year anniversary back in 2011.
Sold to 2 people that had worked there for ages, in 2012.

Of course, Associated Press claims ownership of their version, that is repeated ad infinitum.

"...the White House statement about the business was made Wednesday, not Tuesday."

Daniel Thompson, the former digital editor at Kenosha News,
the only full-time Black staff member at the Kenosha paper.

The Kenosha News newspaper made a decision about BLM coverage in Kenosha.
without him.

AMY GOODMAN:

Daniel, welcome to Democracy Now! Explain what happened. Why did you quit?

DANIEL THOMPSON:

There was one speaker that did give the quote that Kenosha News put in the headline.
And honestly, right when it happened, you could tell that a lot of people in the crowd
didn’t agree with it. And my personal opinion is that speaker should have never been
there."...event itself was very peaceful."* It was beautiful. I mean, I had pictures of
children, Amish and Mennonite children playing with each other there. There was a
child that was helping to hold a peace sign banner with me, that I didn’t even know.
They just wanted to help hold a banner, so I let them hold a banner with me.
And even Mr. Blake’s father had called for a night of peace across thenation.
And a lot of the speakers did that.

*(BLM Rally on Saturday following the police shooting of Jacob Blake)

AMY GOODMAN:
So, just to say that the headline itself that the Kenosha News ran was
“Kenosha speaker (one of many speakers at the Kenosha BLM rally:
'If you kill one of us, it's time for us to kill one of yours.’

DANIEL THOMPSON:

"...when I realized it was a story about the event I was at, that’s when I contacted my boss."

I was pretty livid, immediately. And I had screenshot it, circled it and sent it to not only
my boss — my former boss, Bob Heisse, but also two of the reporting staff, just to let
them know. And by that point, I was already talking myself down from just quitting.
Bob Heisse defended it ( headline- 'If you kill one of us, it's time for us to kill one of yours.’)

"...when I got that response, it was almost immediate. I mean, it was a 20-minute
time period between me contacting him initially and me sending my letter of resignation."

AMY GOODMAN:
So, they changed the headline to “Kenosha speaker strays from message at rally,”
but the online article still included only the video of that speaker’s remarks, and
the video’s caption still is the previous headline

DANIEL THOMPSON:
I don’t think the situation happened out of any malicious intent. I think it was simply
ignorance and a lack of diversity or diverse voices that were part of the decision.

https://www.democracynow.org/2020/9/2/daniel_thompson_kenosha_news_jacob_blake

Americans executed in public by police officers

Protests continued in the nation’s capital Saturday for Deon Kay, a young Black man
fatally shot by D.C. police earlier this week

Saturday outside the police station, a series of speakers — including community organizers,

She said the 18-year-old had played with guns before, but “never hurt no one.”

“This ain’t adding up,” Marie Kay said. “Justice needs to be done.”

A new ad launched by President Trump’s campaign in Wisconsin

"...this ad may become a public relations problem for the Trump campaign."

Video images of the man and the girl appear to be owned by a French news organization
that is now strongly objecting to the way they were “taken out of their context” in the ad.

The news organization is also objecting to the use of the footage without permission,
demanding that it be taken down, and threatening legal action if it is not.

What’s more, the man in the ad — appears to be a big supporter of Joe Biden and Black
Lives Matter, and he is also strongly objecting to his inclusion.

The Trump ad in question shows the footage of the man and the little girl at around
the 17-second mark.

That footage appears to come from a news segment aired by France 24 about protests
in Minneapolis.

“France 24 was deeply disturbed when it discovered the unauthorized use in a campaign clip
of video images taken from a France 24 report shot during recent protests in Minneapolis.”

The France 24 segment also shows those people in a somewhat different light than their depiction in Trump’s ad-
which simplistically portrays them as belonging to the bright, pro-Trump portion,
in contrast to the dark, violent, Dante’s “Inferno”-esque Biden half.

The man in the ad is actually identified in the France 24 segment as Patrick Nailon.
In it, Nailon was prominently featured wearing a Black Lives Matter T-shirt and said
he had driven into Minneapolis to help with the cleanup.

By contrast, the ad used footage of him in a way that makes it borderline impossible
to see his Black Lives Matter T-shirt logo.

Nailon, who was tracked down by a Democratic operative, told me he strongly objects
to his inclusion in the ad and the black-and-white depiction it offered.

“I definitely feel used,” Nailon told me. “It’s disgusting that I’m a part of it.
They even kept from showing my full T-shirt. It was devious.”

Nailon added that the bifurcated depiction was also dishonest. “The devastation
was not created by people protesting the death of George Floyd,” he said.
“We’ve since learned that there were instigators who showed up.”

Nailon also insisted that the ad dishonestly represented the many people who had come
from all around the region to clean up, including many supporters of the protests.

“It mischaracterizes the people who were there that day,” Nailon told me.
“As if that somehow had to do with community that Donald Trump inspired in people.”

Rochester NY police S.W.A.T. squad on standby, Sunday night

The standard story about BLM protesters-

Two groups- daylight group is peaceful, and have clear vision of needed reform.
As a group, they have agreed to non-violence, and not to throw objects,

Second group is a free-for-all at night, and they are determined to wear the police forces down.
Respectful of fire fighters, the protesters moved out of the way to let them do their job, to put
out the little trash fires that they started in open areas, on tarmac, and concrete.

Protesters come to Rochester, New York’s third-largest city, to protest the public execution
of Daniel Prude. The police officers did not allow him to breathe, and he died.

Police have had the magical ability to arrest deranged white mass murderers, peacefully.
But, somehow lose that ability if an unarmed member of the minority community is ill.

Again, the police are insisting on pushing everything to extremes.

The government has funded and supplied war weapons to American police forces.
OWS protests were the testing and proving grounds of weapons used against Americans.

Protests against exploitation were peopled by citizens that could have joined the police force.
Yet, the police forces were willing to visit hatred, aggression, sadism, torture, on them.
OTOH, the police did not straight up execute OWS protesters in public. They maimed them.
The central OWS protests concerned massive amounts of people, Big Media was watching.
The law has since sorted out which weapons are humane & acceptable- Surprise! They kill.

Miguel Trujillo:
To overcome racism we must face it

April 19, 2017

Trump is renewing his complaints about NFL players who kneel during the national
anthem. Players have been kneeling to protest racism and police brutality, particularly
toward people of color. Trump says the act is disrespectful and is hurting the game.

The Tribune

I would like to say that I’m surprised at the president’s recent move to end racial
sensitivity training.

Unfortunately, at this point, I’ve given up hope that he will ever attempt to understand
lived experiences other than his own.

As much as the current administration would like you to believe, critical race theory
(CRT) is not propaganda.

CRT states that racism is alive and well, being ever-present in our society.

But wait, if we live in a racist country, doesn’t that teach that the United States is evil?

This is one of the reasons stated by the administration for shutting down programs
that train people about race.

While it certainly doesn’t paint a rosy picture, this reflects reality.

CRT implores us to take the time to understand racism so we can make this country better.

A fight for social justice is a fight on behalf of America.

What if racism doesn’t exist, though?

People of color can be successful and white people can struggle, too.

While both of those things are true, that is not proof racism doesn’t exist.

For those white people who are struggling, we see you. .

In our school system, you will have teachers who understand and support
your culture, with 79% of teachers being white.

In our legal system, you are less likely to be incarcerated, with Black men six times
more likely to be incarcerated as white men. Even your life is expected to be longer,
with Black life expectancy about 3.5 years lower than that of whites. There are always
exceptions to these rules; the principals of CRT want to help us change the rules.

Removing training on race and racism is to deny the lived experience of millions.
It is to deny us the power to recognize our areas for growth. If anything, we need more
training on race, more awareness, more discussion. Acknowledgment is one of the first
towards action that could transform the USA into a place that is truly great for more
than just the elite.

If the fight against oppression is not American, then I don’t know what is.

Confirmation gets trickier for Trump Homeland Security pick

September 11, 2020

A whistleblower's complaint and a tight timeline are making it increasingly unlikely
that the Senate will confirm Chad Wolf as secretary of the Department of Homeland
Security before the election.

It was already going to be hard to secure a confirmation vote ahead of the Senate's
October recess even before the new allegations that Wolf and other DHS officials

A subpoena was issued late Friday by the chairman of the House Homeland Security

The Senate's Homeland Security and/ Government Affairs Committee, headed by
Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, may still pursue a hearing to consider
Wolf's nomination in the weeks ahead.

But the full Senate is unlikely to hold a confirmation vote before the election,
said two Republican aides granted anonymity to discuss private deliberations.

House panel chairman issues subpoena to compel acting DHS secretary to testify

Thompson said that although DHS committed to Wolf testifying Sept. 17,
he “reneged on the commitment on September 8,” forcing him to issue
a subpoena.

Thompson said. “Mr. Wolf’s refusal to testify — thereby evading congressional oversight
at this critical time — is especially troubling given the serious matters facing the department
and the nation.”

No Due Process of Law, or Rights guaranteed by the Constitution of U.S. under Trump

Trump Openly Endorses Extrajudicial Killings of Suspects by Law Enforcement

Septemebr 13, 2020

Last night Judge Jeanine ran an interview with Donald Trump and Trump went
to his favorite topic, the need to put down all protests. But unlike his expressed
views on COVID,

Trump isn’t interested in putting down protests by asking everyone to come together
and calmly look at the problems. Instead, he endorsed extra-judicial killings and thereby
inciting the lone wolf radicals – on any side – to do the very thing he says he’s against.

He says “that’s the way it has to be” about a killing in Oregon.

Trump on a purported antifa sympathizer who allegedly killed someone in Portland
being killed by federal forces: "This guy was a violent criminal, and the US Marshals
killed him. And I'll tell you something — that's the way it has to be. There has to
be retribution."

OTOH- Men that support Trump, and support the police use of deadly force against protester
, men that use weapons of war to commit mass murder, are comforted and coddled by police
- They are allowed to run away and escape, and to live to kill, again, by the very same police
forces.

Trump encourages his civilian "pretend" role-playing militia goons, and this happens-

Fire marshal put on leave, resigns

The Oregon State Police on Saturday announced Fire Marshal Jim Walker had been
put on paid administrative leave. Then, later in the day, the state police announced
its superintendent had accepted a resignation offer from Walker.

The state police did not said why Walker was put on leave. But a source familiar
with the situation said Superintendent Travis Hampton had lost confidence and t
rust in Walker’s ability to manage the historic wildfires.

The blazes have scorched more than 1 million acres across Oregon, spanning from

Discussing the recent police killing of a self-described anti-fascist suspected of fatally
shooting a far-right activist in Portland, Oregon, President Donald Trump openly endorsed
extrajudicial executions in a Fox News interview Saturday, declaring that "there has to be
retribution."

"I put out, 'When are you going to go get him?' And the U.S. Marshals went in to get him,"
the president told Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, referring to Michael Forest Reinoehl.

"This guy was a violent criminal, and the U.S. Marshals killed him."

"And I'll tell you something—that's the way it has to be. "There has to be retribution."

Trump's comments came days after an ordained minister who lives in an apartment complex
near where Reinoehl was shot and killed by members of a law enforcement task force earlier
this month in Lacey, Washington said it was not at all clear that Reinoehl was armed when
police gunned him down.

Washington Post reported, the witness alleges that "Reinoehl was clutching a cellphone
and eating a gummy worm as he walked to his car... That's when officers opened fire
without first announcing themselves or trying to arrest him."

L.A. deputies tackled and arrested a reporter. Her videos contradict their claims
about the incident.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/09/14/la-sheriffs-josie-huang-npr/

The incident occurred outside St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, where the two
deputies were being treated for gunshot wounds. Huang had just finished covering a
10 p.m. news conference by Sheriff Alex Villanueva and other department officials.

Navarro also said Huang "didn't have proper credentials," but she was clearly wearing
press credentials around her neck. A tweet from the Sheriff’s Department at 2:19 a.m.
Sunday includes a false claim that Huang did not identify herself as a journalist.
Huang told deputies at least five separate times that she was a reporter and KPCC
staffer in less than a minute, according to the recording.

Video from ABC7 shows at least five deputies pinning Huang to the pavement,
handcuffing her, and placing her in a patrol car. Huang’s phone fell to the ground
as she was being arrested, and deputies appear to have stepped on it multiple times
as it continued to record.

Los Angeles sheriff suddenly stops commenting after video reveals lies about reporter's arrest

September 14, 2020

A large group of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies violently arrested a reporter
doing her job on Saturday night, and then lied about what had happened.

The whole thing is on video, though, so once again we have rock-solid evidence
that police lie and should not be believed.

According to the the police, NPR and LAist reporter Josie Huang didn’t have press
credentials, didn’t identify herself as a reporter, and refused to leave an area when told
to do so.

In reality, Huang says she was wearing a lanyard with a press credential and the video
shows Huang backing away from police at their orders and repeatedly yelling
“I’m a reporter,” even as a group of deputies throw her violently to the ground,
ultimately arresting her and charging her with obstruction.

Creepy Chad Wolf took the deal that Trump offered, and has pleased Trump exceedingly-
passed the gauntlet, and seeks to become a real, live, boy!

Will Creepy Chad shake his acting (temp ) status and become official ?

Trump Homeland Security pick denies intelligence meddling

Inquiry: "Sir, you are smeared with shit!

Creepy Chad: "No, no. That is just chocolate icing, and chocolate cake crumbs."

Inquiry: Sir, you stink! You are smearing the bench with excrement!

Department of Homeland Security Chad Wolf, testifying in a wide-ranging Senate
confirmation hearing, also rejected a separate allegation that he held back an
intelligence report on Russian disinformation that targeted former Vice President
Joe Biden

Both issues emerged early in the hearing as the Senate considers a nominee who has
been accused of politicizing the third largest department in the federal government
and has faced criticism over its handling of civil unrest, COVID-19 and immigration.

Wolf pushed back hard on claims, which included allegations that he sought to downplay
the threat posed by Russia and white supremacists, made by Brian Murphy, who was
a senior official with the intelligence division of the agency until the acting secretary
reassigned him in early August.

“It is patently false. It is a fabrication, completely,” Wolf told the committee.

The Report-

Wolf said he put a hold on the two-page document in July so that it could be “improved”
with additional context.

It’s not yet clear when the committee will vote on Wolf, who also drew praise from
Republican senators for sending agents to Portland, despite the opposition of local
officials, and from members on both sides for the work of the thousands of law
enforcement officers who work for DHS

Chad Wolf should not be secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

During his brief, two-hour Senate confirmation hearing on Wednesday, the
unlawfully appointed acting secretary yet again lied under oath in his attempt
to maintain power—and about one of the most inhumane and cruel acts of this
administration.

Questioned by U.S. Sen. Jacky Rosen of Nevada on the beginnings of the policy
that would eventually lead to the state-sanctioned kidnapping of thousands of
children, Unlawful Chad quickly became defensive, claiming to her that
“it was not my memo” and pointing to his former boss, then-Sec. Kirstjen Nielsen.
“That was not my portfolio, it was not my issue set at that time,” he continued.
But internal documents have already easily debunked Unlawful Chad’s claim:
He was an architect of family separation.

Portland protest of Breonna Taylor grand jury decision prompts ‘riot’ declaration

It was the first time police have declared a riot since Sept. 5, 2020

Officers in riot gear were deployed, and someone threw a Molotov cocktail
that hit an officer in the foot. A medic extinguished the flames.

Thirteen Portland protesters were arrested last night during a demonstration in response
to the Kentucky grand jury that exonerated the officers who shot and killed Breonna Taylor.
Federal officers joined Portland Police in using munitions and physical violence to disperse
the demonstration.

Portland Man Charged With Attempted Murder Following Fiery Protest

He’s a 23-year-old homeless ex-Marine who suffers from schizophrenia,
according to court documents.

His arrest follows a protest where a rioter threw at least one Molotov cocktail
into the ranks of Portland police, burning one officer's foot.

Records show he has at least one assault conviction in Georgia.

He is being held on a $525,000 bail.

He is one of two people charged with possession of a destructive device
after last night's protest/

According to the News & Observer, the protest was organized by a group called
"DurhamBurn" that told demonstrators to meet at CCB Plaza at 7 p.m. Wednesday
for "JUSTICE FOR BREONNA."

Durham's protest was relatively small, just 50 people, according to ABC 11.
Windows were smashed at about 40 businesses, including at the former
Harold Sun building and offices on Blackwell Street.

There wasn't any looting, Police Chief C. J. Davis said at a press conference
this morning, but DPD headquarters was spray-painted with the words
"revenge" and "burn it down."

Portland Parks Denies Permit for Planned Proud Boys Rally in North Portland

The city's correspondence with the organizer of the Proud Boys rally shows the permit
was withheld in part because of the crowd size listed in the application: 20,000 people.

The maximum size of gathering the city will permit in the pandemic is 50 people.

Multnomah County Sheriff Mike Reese said the crowd size was estimated in a law
enforcement briefing at 1,000 to 3,000 people.

That crowd size would still be among the largest gatherings of conservative protesters
in Portland since the election of President Donald Trump. Such gatherings have rarely
attracted more than a few hundred people.

https://www.wweek.com/news/city/202...r-planned-proud-boys-rally-in-north-portland/

City Commissioner Amanda Fritz said the rally of right-wing groups would
violate social distancing guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.

(...)

Leftist groups, including some from Seattle, plan to gather in Peninsula Park,
3 miles away, despite pleas from elected officials to stay home.

Black Lives Matter protesters do not request permits for their events.
The Proud Boys apparently did.

It remains unclear whether the permit denial will mean Portland police will clear
the Proud Boys from Delta Park. Police have regularly allowed protest groups to
assemble without permits. And two other law enforcement agencies rejected a
request from Portland police to assist with crowd control at Saturday's events,
citing Mayor Ted Wheeler's ban on tear gas.
