Tell me what you think of the answers on godandscience.org/apologetics/killergod.html. You bring up very good points. I will try to answer it all but I want to do it right and give you well informed answers.

Holy fuckberries. This site is fucking awful.

"Isn't God unrighteous in killing these innocent little ones? First of all, the Bible indicates that all people are sinners,9 including babies,10 and worthy of judgment.11 However, the Bible also indicates that children are incapable of making moral choices, so that they are automatically rewarded with heaven.12 So, in having babies killed, God is actually doing them a favor."

No. Fucking no. This is a line I draw. I do not worship babykilling assholes. I do not like people who try to justify babykilling assholes. Hell, I'm not all that crazy about fetus killing recreationally, let alone fully developed babies with central nervous systems just because you didn't like their goddamn parents.

What
the
fuck?

How the FUCK can you people say shit like this and have the balls to tell folk not to get abortions? Once again, it comes back to the question, "Who the FUCK do you think you are?"

There. You have something in common!

We have a lot in common. I like Christ. I've read your book. It's not that I don't understand it. It's that I don't agree with it. I like a lot of the characters. I like Judas quite a bit too, and Mary (both Jesus's mom and his wife), and Joseph (both Jesus's dad and Abraham's son) Jesus's cousin John was pretty cool, a lot of the old testament stories were really hardcore. I always thought that Christian were missing a lot of marketing. Do you have any idea what a good video game the life of Abraham would make? Like, storming an entire country with just your kids because the king raped your kid? That's some hardcore shit.

I just wouldn't live my life by it. Because it's fucked right up.

I wrote a self-published book titled Faith is Not for the Timid, Unshaven or Overly Cocky but there were only 50 copies made. I gave editions to family members and co-workers a few years ago.

How in the HECK did you find a copy?
I asked people to keep them as family heirlooms!!

Nevertheless, I am sorry you don't agree with it but a lot of people who read it said I did a nice job or writing and illustrating it.

I thought that was going to be a link to where I could buy it.

I've actually had a few things published, but they were mostly illustrations. I'm a little weary about posting things on this site because some people get a little too involved, but if you're really interested, pm me.

I decided not to sell Faith is Not for the Timid, Unshaven or Overly Cocky because the message is worth more than any amount of money.

Besides, the knowledge - dare I say wisdom - I share is possibly divinely inspired so it is not really mine to sell.

So you're the one who ate the apple.

He isn't imaginary. A lot of critics ask then why doesn't he answer my prayers? The thing is he always answers prayers. He doesn't always do what we want him to do. I am just curious. Anyone can answer. How do you have hope without God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit? Maybe a better way to phrase it is where do you find your hope. I really am interested.

In myself. In my daughters and family. In the science that lets us master our environment. In life itself. In the promise that we drive our own destiny and tomorrow can be a better day. Hope comes from our own intellect, ingenuity, relationships and community.

God is primitive man telling stories to account for the unknown. The Christ myth is the retelling of the Egyptian Horus myth.

"master our environment"?!?

Now, that's funny.

You flatter yourself way too much, wormfood...

You seem too full of animosity to be a bible-thumping Christian.

And yes - "master our environment". Do you turn a dial on your wall up when you need heat? Turn it down when you choose to be cooler? Open your refrigerator to find all manner of out of season produce? Click a light switch and "let there be light"? Survive cold harsh winters and summer storms without fear of your life in your comfortable home? The reason we are a species of 7 Billion and growing exponentially is we have mastered our environment.

I think I don't need a web site to explain a book I already read to me. Only an idiot would need that.

The fact of the matter is, the god in the bible is a psychopath. The kid's ok. But he was wrong about a lot of shit. He told his followers, repeatedly, that the apocalypse would happen within his lifetime. He was a good kid. He might have been the son of god, but that has nothing to do with me. Hell, he said himself that not everyone is in his flock, nor should they be. That they would reject his message because it didn't have a goddamn thing to do with him. He seems like a neat guy. I'd have a conversation with him. I'd have a glass of wine with him. I wouldn't worship him. We would bond over the fact that both of our dads are deadbeat psychopaths.

I know you are well versed in the bible from what you have written. I like to look at other viewpoints. I thought you might enjoy seeing another point of view but it is alright if you don't.

I am very sensative to any abuses of children. I struggled with this issue before coming a Christian. Why does God allow children to be hurt in any way? I wish I could say I knew why every single bad thing happened but I don't. Why did I suffer from the abuses I did even when I begged at times for it to stop? On this side of 46 years I can see that it gave me a sensativity to those who suffered like I did. I have helped others because of this. But is that the reason God allowed it to happen, I don't know.

In the situations in the Old Testement you wrote about in a previous post -God always offered people forgiveness before judgement. He wasn't swift to judge, sometimes waiting hundreds of years. Anyone who wanted to flee could have fled. God doesn't judge the innocent.

It is hard to get non-believers to look at life as more than what comes at the end of their physical life here on earth. There is eternity. The children of the people you spoke of had no chance in this earthly life. Would it have been better if God had killed the parents and spared the children? No The children would have died a slow and horrible death. Being under the age of accountability God took these children to Him in heaven. He will not let evil prevail. Some of the people were doing terrible things to children. Sacrificing them, etc. God took his children home.

(Ezekeil 18;21,23) - God does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked. But he will not let evil prevail.

When Bast wiped out town, the children were taken to the temple in PurrBast to be raised by the preistestes where they were automatically granted citizenship. It's called taking responsibility for your actions. Once again, there are too many gods out there who are decent people to worship one that isn't. Murder is not the answer. I just can't get behind someone with that mentality. And letting entire groups have that mentality is dangerous. It's used as an excuse for matricide, and has been cited more then once by people who killed their children in order to "send them to heaven". That's a form of psychosis and there's nothing holy about it.

Jesus changed everything?! Why do people believe something so patently false. The only way thinking Jesus changed everything is if you're actually sticking with the Hitler's in Heaven now mentality. Otherwise things. . . mostly the same.

Also murder can be the solution. Sometimes something is ugly and needs to be set on fire.

You realize that the overwhelming majority of those "7 Billion" don't have heating and air conditioning, refrigeration, electricity, or a "comfortable home" to "master" like you evidently have/done...

...right?

And that the populations of the great minority of that "7 Billion"- self-proclaimed "masters" like you - aren't growing at all, right? That the "master" cultures' birth rates are actually declining...

...right?

So tell me how your "The reason we are a species of 7 Billion and growing exponentially is we have mastered our environment" can possibly make any sense when the actual growing part of the world's population hasn't "mastered our environment" at all?

And tell me more about how you master your own destiny, k?

'Cause the last time I checked, your destiny is death...

...and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.

Or, like your light switch mastery above...

...are you simply referring to controlling your own destiny as more like getting the night shift manager slot at your local Quickie Mart?

Food production and distribution, improvement in public health and conquering disease are the specific ways the environment has been mastered that have allowed us to grow to 7 billion+. And yes it does make sense to people that are not clouded by religion. It makes sense to people who know that a piss Christ or an anti-Mohammad video do not matter one iota in the scheme of things.

Prayer and ritual sacrifice have no role in the population explosion. Prayer and ritual sacrifice do not heat your home. You do understand that - don't you?

The bible should not be taken literally - it is the collected oral history of a nomadic people that eventually got written down. It is myth and fabrication. A collection of stories. Fictional.

The universe is 14.5 billion year old. The earth is 4.5 billion years old. And when you die - you are going to dirt nap, just like me.

Deal with it.

I can not speak for what other "god's" did. Only the way the one true God did it. He cared for his children and he himself protected them in heaven. I also argue that people can use anything and pervert it to justify themselves. Look at those idiots in Egypt.

I wonder how you have mastered the environment with tornado's, hurricanes, earthquakes, blizzards etc. I think the environment wins. You are just blessed with a home and a lightswitch, refrigerator. etc.

Also I am saying you are master of the Universe and I am smiling. In fact I am cracking up.

No tornado's, hurricanes, earthquakes, blizzards or the like has ever bothered me. ;) Sometimes I just like to argue with Eyer and say things I know will rile him.

And no I am not "blessed".

Yes anyone can.

Including your god.

That book is the biggest piece of PR in all of history. And you have absolutely no way of knowing how much of it is a lie. A strait out lie. And your only defense is that your god would never lie to you. Your god has always lied to you. Even about the goddamn fruit tree. He said that if humans ate from it, they would die. The serpent said that if they ate from it, they would gain knowledge.

What happened?

There was no sin and death before they ate the apple. They ate and now we have death - pretty simple. I do know how much of it is a lie. None of it.
