I appreciate that and your earlier comments. I should look into it. I would like to learn more about all faiths. I have taken some small class like study's into them but I have not read the books that they use. Thanks

Cool. I'd recommend just getting the books and reading them, without commentaries or classes. That's a test of the clarity of the text and what impressions it gives you personally first.

What you think, what you feel is important.

Tao Te Ching (Taoism)
Bhaghavad Gita - Upanishads (Hinduism)
Koran (Islam)
Dhammapadda (Buddhism)

Some of my personal favorites that aren't necessarily holy books but written by wise people would be:

The Prophet, Kahlil Gibran
"Everyday Zen" by Charlotte Joko Beck (and her other books.)

There's the original as intended to be relayed, and then there's everybody's opinions about it. It's good to clarify your opinion first and then wade into the fray of what everybody thinks later.
