How have you created dramatic change in your life? Moving to another city, changing jobs, divorce, and marriage, coming out of the closet.

Tell me your process.

I stopped agreeing with everyone else and started doing what I want. :) It's created SOME conflict, but overall... I'm happier.

You and I are onn the same page man... I've given myself til Nov 29th to change things where I'm at or I'm packing everything up and moving to another state far away from this oh so boring existance

. What was it that you did?

Cut my hair, stopped going to all the places that I went because it was expected but no one really cared, stopped hanging with people because it was expected, did things I wanted to do, didn't do things I didn't.
:)
Mostly started speaking my mind instead of being "appropriate" all the time. :) It's been nice.
Oh yeah, and I stopped saying "Yes" everytime someone said "Can you do me a favor and ________________" (insert your choice of thing you don't want to do in that blank)

Well you're on the right track. Set a deadline. Mark it in your calendar. That's what I've done. I plan to move by this time next year.

I'm actually in the middle of a MAJOR change at the moment. My current job is coming to an end, and I'm moving internationally by myself. Fortunately this is a little easier since I'm moving back to the US, but it's still difficult.

The only way I'm getting through it at the moment is by just closing my eyes and jumping in with both feet and praying fr the best. I'm also really relying on the boy. Without him, I think I would have gone certifiably insane at this point. Or been talked into doing something not good for me.

well, welcome back! Make a decision to what you want, then just do it.

yes i told my hubby how i felt about certain members of his family, and how i wont be their doormat any longer. and if he wanted to be married to me, he'd better take my side. which he did.

I'm counting down to it.. figured if nothing changes in my life by then it's destiny for me to leave. Then come early 2010 I'm outta here. That way I have a month and a half to say my goodbyes, plus my bday is early January and if I'm going out it's going to be in a blaze of glory.

Looks like I'll be leaving here right around the time of my birthday, too! I would have prefered to be back beforehand, but how many girls get to say they had their birthday dinner in Venice?
