I posted on Craigslist looking for a younger woman. I'm in my fifties and specified woman in their twenties or early thirties. I got a reply from a girl who says she's 18. Alarm bells are going off. Anything I can do to protect myself or should I just forget it. Christ I couldn't even take her out for a drink.

Yeah, don't respond, or tell the teenybopper you're not interested, and don't take it any further. There's no law against rejecting unsuitable candidates or keeping yourself away from potential trouble.

If something sounds wrong, it probably is. Trust your instincts.

Yeah, I think I'll forget it. She claims she's really into older guys. Nice to think that true but I seriously doubt it. I haven't run into any "older guy" lovers unless the older guy has money.

that's right sir,

infact I don't even have a craiglist profile..that place is full of weird people..prostitutes,spammers,money seekers.

she's either a male spammer looking for your id,
or a money seeker/hooker.

chances of her being 'genuine' sound very low. I think she[or he?] is sending such invitations to every older guy on craig.

I wish you good luck in your search.

I wouldnt even answer.

You are not, btw, obligated to answer every one who responds to your craigslist ad. Pick and chose.

Forget it. What the hell would you do with an 18 year old? Ok, Ok but are you going to card her to make sure she's not younger? Forget her.
