Has anyone here used craigslist.org to find sex partners?

Here in the Seattle area, it seems like there are a lot of guys who want to hook up. I have seen repeated postings on Craigslist, so I don't know if they are actually working or not. I have responded to a couple of them, but I have not heard back from anyone. There are some Yahoo groups and I have had people IM me on my Yahoo messenger when I made the mistake of leaving it up.

Not specifically for sex partners, no. But I have met a few interesting women on there. My impression is that the MM and casual encounter ads are on the flaky/shady side of the spectrum...there seems to be lots of talk of money exchanges, unsafe sex, and people getting no results. I'm wondering if you'd have better luck responding to a couple who is looking for another male to join them. In my own experience, CL is really hit and miss in general...you have to post and respond to a ton of ads and weed out all of the nuts just to find one or two quality people.

I've come across quite a few bi guys in the PNW right here (sadly, bi women are few and far between). Have you posted an ad? Maybe you could also start a PNW roll call thread in the GLBT personals? How about going to gay clubs in Seattle? Or posting ads on other websites like bisexual.org (there are lots of couples looking for another male there, and I think the people are more quality than CL)? I've also heard of tons of bi and gay male support and activity groups in the greater Seattle area ( BiNet Seattle is just one )...you might have good luck meeting up with someone there.

I'll keep thinking on this...feel free to PM me (it'd be great if you'd include some details about what you're looking for age and situation wise- ie discreet, couples, anonymous, maybe ongoing, etc.), and I'll let you know if I come across anything else that might be helpful.
