'WE CAN DO IT' Queen tells coronavirus-hit Brits to play their ‘vitally important’ part and avoid pubs and not panic-buy
THE Queen today urged Brits to avoid pubs and play their "vitally important" part as the nation is gripped by coronavirus panic.
The 93-year-old monarch told the country to "work as one" in the face of drastic stock-piling scenes up and down the country.
Her Majesty, known for delivering subtle messages in her national addresses, said we must all "play our part" and not be selfish as the UK faces its biggest challenge since World War Two.
But in reassurance to the public, she said "I am certain we are up to that challenge".
It comes after she and husband Prince Philip, 98, headed to Windsor a week early - expected to stay at the castle past Easter as the elderly were warned to self-isolate
