Indiana schools just shut down with a possible reopening on January 20 (also the date the new Administration takes over the Executive Branch).

NY - SUNY (state university) schools are closing after Turkey Day with the balance of the winter semester to be spent online. Projected reopening is early February.

And in the UK COVID deaths have passed 50,000 and our death rate per 100,000 people is now higher than the US - again. Last month we were slightly lower.

The number of positive tests is still increasing - mainly a function of increased availability of tests but the number of hospital admissions is plateauing. Death rates are usually two weeks behind hospital admisson rates so we have hope.

No. It is a reflection of our overcrowded cities and sending the schools and universities back. Locally cases have increased - almost all of them in students.

The mortality rate of Covid is very low. More and more people are testing positive yet hospitalizations aren't increasing at the same rate.

Yes. Second wave rolled through the States back in July.

All record numbers of infections and deaths set then, are being broken now, and some hospitals are unable to accommodate the numbers.

In fact, in several states new records are being set daily. Today’s record setting case and death numbers beat yesterday’s new records.
