Cover Versions.

2) Ordinary World (Aurora) originally duran duran.

Isn't Aurora half of Duran Duran? Simon LeBon and Nick Rhodes? Would it count as a cover then?

There are so many good covers ...

... The Lyres' cover version of "Tired of Waiting" (originally by the Kinks) is pretty cool.

I love Springsteen's versions of "Fire" and "Jersey Girl".

The Stones have done so many covers that I think are great, too:
Harlem Shuffle
Little Red Rooster
Round and Round
Tell Me
Little by Little
Not Fade Away

... and I am sure many more. :)

I think the greatest cover of all time is Aretha Franklin's "Respect", I can't even remember who the original artist was, maybe Otis Redding (?) but I know a man did that song first.

That was the first cover song I thought of too Eve but i couldnt remember who did it but the first man that came to mind was Otis Redding so since Eve and I said Otis Redding did it first he didit first ok!!

Here are some of my favorites:

Avail "Pink Houses" (John Cougar Mellencamp)
Sicko "Closer to Fine" (Indigo Girls)
Pixies "Head On" (Jesus and Mary Chain)
Cub "Vacation" (The Go-Go's)

Pansy Division deserves a mention for their cover of Liz Phair's "Flower," but nothing could be better than her version...

I'm looking at the cover to this song as I write this, and Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes are no where to be seen. So sorry Kitten, you are wrong. My brother also tells me that he saw the band Aurora performing this song on tv, and he never recognized any of them. I would recommend you find this song Kitten, it's very good.

Carl.

I believe she is confusing Aurora with Arcadia, the spin-off project from Duran Duran that lasted a brief while (like The Powerstation)
