For my next two Lit stories, I've decided to delve in the Sci-fi/Fantasy category. I have this fantasy world, complete with a crudely drawn global map and some significant historical events, that I've been holding onto since around middle school, and I figured the best thing to with it now would be to utilize it for Lit. But I have a few questions and concerns about this category.

First of all, this is a fantasy world that has transitioned into the modern era. It's a place where the Humans, Elves, Dwarves, etc. have to live together in a 21st century type setting (with some obvious technological differences like hover cars, fusion power and laser pistols). The first story is about a guy meeting, screwing and falling in love with a forest nymph. Simple enough. But the second is about a queen who rewards her war-winning soldiers with huge orgies in her throne room, and this will include a bit where she chugs down sweetened cum out of a big goblet.

My concern is that 'sci-fi/fantasy' is kind of a broad way to categorize things, and since choosing multiple categories isn't allowed on Lit I don't know how well such stories would be received if it were to transcend into something steamier like an all-out Group Sex orgy or perhaps Incest/Taboo down the line. Is Sci-Fi/Fantasy only for straight up vanilla sex, or would it be a problem if these stories drifted into other realms?

Sci-Fi & Fantasy is a wide open category that will accept virtually anything -- even squickier subjects like Incest and Gay Male. With the edgier subjects such as that, you'd be well served to warn readers in advance with an author's note at the beginning. With such a wide ranging degree of subject matter, the readers in the category take such warnings to heart, and don't use them as a signpost to bash a story unread as they do in many other categories.

When you have a fantasy world you're building from ( or a sci-fi one ) the category is the perfect choice for a story with wide-ranging kinks. The trade-off is that it doesn't have as many readers as the mainstream categories.

But, flipping the coin over yet again, the readership is more engaged than in many other categories. They're more likely to vote and comment, rather than just having a quick wank and moving on.

Forge straight ahead is my advice :)
