Count up to ten before posting in a political thread.

Count up to fifty before responding to personal abuse.

Count up to one hundred before posting personal abuse yourself (on top of the fifty if responding).

Count up to two hundred before starting a political thread.

Halve all the above if posting in the politics forum, not the General Board.

Count up to five thousand before creating an alt if you have been banned.

Og. the problem with that proposal is that many of the worst culprits would be at their limit going for 10. :)

Not a bad philosophy. It is all about ego. Those with more fragile personalities tend to be more compulsive and MUST have the last word. In their mind...they win.

If I had reported you, you might have been banned again.

I didn't but start counting to one million because someone else probably will.

The OCD boys (the ones who have a pathological need to get the last word in always...Conager and the BBs) lack that sort of self-control.

Sorry Og, I have to disagree. Fuck a buncha' counting. It takes my little pea brain off what I should be thinking about.

1) Don't post in a political thread unless you actually have something of substance to say. And no a one line retort or cheap shot isn't substance.

2) Don't post personal abuse without spending a lot of time reflecting on why: Revenge because someone pissed in your boot? You just don't like the target of your impending verbal thrashing? The object of your proposed verbal assault has no redeeming qualities? Or you're just being an asshole? 99 times out of 100 it's the last one.

3) On starting a political thread: see line one. Addendum for 1 and 3, because I don't agree with you doesn't mean your post or thread doesn't have substance. A well presented argument is the core of good debate. Insults, name calling and finger pointing is the last bastion of those who have no legitimate, factual argument to use.

4) Alt creation after expulsion: Two kinds get banned here, those who think it's funny and will return time after time under a different nom de guerre to continue their abrasive and idiotic game. The second type believe they have the right to break the rules because they are who they are. I have no control over what either do, all I can do is put there silly ass on ignore when I grow tired of suffering fools, which happens on occasion.

I think I've spoke enough, time to go back to my seat against the wall.
