Could use a reality check

I'm married 15 years, love my wife but no sex life. Last time we got it on was a year ago. It's been like this for the past 5 years. She is 48 and going through menopause. I am 56.

I am considering going to a professional for some physical fun. Primarily I'm interested in sexual massage as I have no desire to have a romantic affair. I've masturbated but that gets old after a time. I desire female contact.

I have tried to be close to her but she drinks from the time she gets home until she goes to bed, and smokes as well. Even that would be tolerable if she wanted sex but she has no desire whatsoever.

I have no illusions about the massage thing being an honorable thing to do while married, but I don't care about that anymore. Just looking to have some sex before it's too late.

Have you considered a professional counselor for yourself instead? How bout couples therapy? Seems you have more to fix than just busting a nut. If you have tried and it didn't work, why stay? Life is too short to live in a loveless marriage, IMO.

It's not a loveless marriage. I'd throw myself in front of a train for her. But we are on different pages when it comes to sex. She is ok with once a year. I like it a bit more often and a bit more creative.
