The Lions wint their first game?

They travel to Chicago to play the hated Bears, at soldier field. Well....with the speed of Chicago's defense, and the lack of depth the Lions have at WR right now, I am thinking no way we can beat them on their home turf. But, the Lions have been playing just well enough not to win the last eight games. All of them won or lost in the final minutes. So, who knows? Maybe this week they will put it all together (or atleast enough of whatever it is that needs building) and finally win one! I hope so!

Jason Hanson missing 3 field goals in ONE GAME??? One of the leagues most dependable kickers in the HISTORY of the NFL, and not one of them could have been considered well out of his range.

Scotty Anderson drops a sure TD pass! Sure he is a rookie, but you have to make those catches when the opportunities arise.

James Stewart has NO breakaway speed! I love his attitude, and his drive, but man I miss Barry. Stewart broke off a run after the catch in this game for about 45 yards, had it been Barry it was 6 points....

Defense can NOT stop the run once you decide that is what you want to do. This has been a problem with Detroit for a long time. They have too many smallish Lineman and Linebackers, and they get pushed around too easily. I must say that Shaun Rogers is the real deal, give him a couple years and he will be in honolulu every january.

Penalties....Third and six, Bears ball, at their own 45...they throw an incomplete pass....but wait, James Hall lined up in the neutral zone, it is 3rd and one now. RUN THE BALL!!!! the Bears did....FIRST DOWN. They never threw the ball again. Game Over.

Sorry about the Lion's STP... I was certainly rooting for them today. I have to admit it's only because it would have given my team more breathing room in their several way tie for first, but still, I was hoping like crazy...

So maybe tonight I'll just wing a little prayer out that your team gets to do what mine did in these past couple of years. My 'Niners a couple of years ago stunk up their division pretty bad, but through good management have come through to be a contender again. I truly hope the same happens for you, my friend.
