Once liberals have a "cause" they never give up on it. They might put it aside for a few years. They might even pretend to have "seen the light" and moved on, but they never really do. They wait until they feel the time is right to bring it back.

We see the same thing with their efforts to ban capital punishment. They had put that on the backburner when public support was running 70% plus in favor of it even in "liberal" states like California, but they always intended to ban it eventually. They just wait until the public is more receptive, even if its not a clear majority, so long as its not overwhelmingly against to the point it will hurt them implementing the rest of their agenda.

Gun owners who voted for Obama because they thought the issue is no longer on the table are in for a rude awakening in the second term.

I disagree. My dad and brother were robbed at gunpoint in my dad's store. They both thought they were going to die. My dad kept a gun in his store but couldn't reach it.

I don't know what the answer is. But obviously something needs to change. I'm tired of hearing about gun massacres.
