Gimp is a great open source (free) picture editor. There's even a version that runs much like photoshop called gimpshop, over at tech writer scott moschella's Plastic Bugs blog.

I dont know about BATCH resizing...

Here's something I just came across on another site , that started discussing resizing. If youve got win XP it should work fine. It also mentions about resizing more than 1 at a time.

The GIMP porobably works fine, but I'm always leary about installing non windows original programs, in a windows box. (which is crazy cause their probably more stable than the same in an original windows configuration)

Gimp is originally made for a mac, if you have 1 it'll be great, but bill gates has a way of making his windows not friendly to other os programs. Even sometimes running emulators..

I'm sorry dont want to be a party pooper, just want the info out there so everyone can make an informed choice & hope fully spare any unneccessary computer troubles.
