Correct category….

Hello, read for a while, new to submitting stories.

I am asking experience users what would be the correct category for a story with the following themes:

Female domination and mixed wrestling along with elements of role reversal that could lead to femdom sex scenes.

Thank you for any guidance provided

There aren't rules, really. Could be BDSM, Fetish (femdom could be either, wrestling is definitely a fetish), or Erotic Couplings. If one or more of them is older, Mature could be right. If there are more than two of them (tag-team wrestling?), could be Group Sex.

If it’s focussed less on the competitive element of mixed wrestling, and more on the side of male submission to women in that context, would BDSM be more advisable than fetish?

Femdom (usually) gets better reception in Fetish, and the wrestling angle kinds of pushes it that direction, too.

The advice I got, I think from you, was to be sure to use all ten tags. They don't cost anything, take every chance to get eyes on your story (if that's your goal).

A lot of people don't want to see men being made to look weak by women, and in that case my story wouldn't be for them, so I'd rather not waste their time and potentially upset them. I'd prefer to have people who want to see a story like this see it. That way I can receive criticism from people who my tastes cater to.

I think Fetish is more forgiving than BDSM. I get the sense that the latter category is more your traditional cis dom with sub girl - there will be domme stories, for sure, but overall, the readers seem to have quite rigid ideas as to what is "correct" behaviour. To the extent they comment - it's the lowest response category I've written in, to the point where I'd rather choose other categories.

A couple of comments have complained there's no "I" which I guess is based on their definition of 'I'. Certainly seems that two 20 years olds in bed side by side with each other's 40 year old mothers fit the "I" factor to me.

One guy says there's no 'invest' so maybe he was looking for some kind of financial angle.

All of those commenters seem to be missing the "T" in "I/T", even though the top of the category page includes Taboo Stories.

The category is predominantly I these days, leaving little room for any other T.

It makes a lot of sense, but keep in mind that "getting the right eyes on my story" can mean different things.

This is just me, and my preferences may not be yours, but my goal is to maximize the number of APPRECIATIVE eyeballs on my story. I'm mostly indifferent to whether, in the process of doing that, I pick up unappreciative readers as well. If by picking category A I get 10,000 readers and 8,000 of them really like my story and 2,000 of them think I suck and some of them tell me so, and by picking category B I get 2,000 readers and almost all of them like my story and I get almost no negative reaction, I'll take category A. It takes a little thicker skin, but I feel like I'm fulfilling my purpose as a writer more by doing that. It's not total numbers that count; it's appreciative numbers, but in practice I think they're usually the same thing.

In the case of your story, Fetish seems like the best fit all around.
