Wow! I dragged my mother, kicking and screaming, to see Hannibal and we both loved it. Anthony Hopkins was, of course, terrifying and mesmerizing at the same time and Juliette Moore was a better Starling than that woman who played in the first movie was.

The story was changed and large chunks of the 'background' information were removed. I wasn't surprised about that though - the movie would have to be 6 hours long if you wanted the entire novel shown. Those who haven't read the book will enjoy it; those who have will enjoy it as well, however, (can't give to much away here) be aware the ending isn't the same.

Scary? Very. Gory? Yes, but it wasn't 'Freddy part Umpteenth'.

Good movie, but it's not for the squeamish. (You already knew that though, didn't you?)

oooh, I'm jealous!

I heard on the radio today that most shows here were sold out 2 days in advance!

I'm really looking forward to this movie.. but the ending isn't the same? *gasp* How could they desecrate the novel like that?

Anthony was on one of those magazine shows last night and was asked about "that other actor who played clarice" and he said he had no hard feelings about her not being in this film.. and they asked him what comments he had about the rumor of a prequel.. he said he'd have to have plastic surgery to get rid of 20 yrs on his face.. hehe

Hah. "Hello Clarice..." I can hear it in my sleep.

Oh Yippie......

I went to see it Saturday night, too, and I liked it. I haven't read the book, but I did read the reviews which gave the book ending away. I don't think I'd have liked the movie as much if the ending hadn't been changed.

Also, anyone notice that the music for the movie was beautiful? And the scenery?
