Hey all,

Maybe someone can help me with a question(s)?

I have a few stories that have been published here on Lit in the past few years. Lately, and with some encouragement from fans and friends, I have been considering re-writing the series into a novelization for potential publishing in book format.

Since I am the original author, do I still have the authority to do this even though the stories (concept, characters, etc.) have been published here on Lit?

I would think I would, but civil and copyright laws aren't my specialty. (Ask me about criminal law, however, and I can talk all day long).

Thanks for helping!

You retain full rights to everything you post on Lit. You can do whatever you wish with it.

You may have issues with the pay publishers if you leave the free versions ( even if old, inferior edits ) available online, though. Deleting the Lit versions is easy. Finding and getting the unauthorized copies stolen by scumbags deleted, not so much.
