I'm sitting here online with the TV on as usual. Once commercial always will get to to look away from here and watch it.

It's those commercials for TARGET. The music is always excellent, the chicks look really hot, and the damn things make no sense what-so-ever. I think they are great!

The other one is that Mitsubishi Eclipse commercial with the chick dancing in the front seat. Another one that doesn't make any sense, but just watching her... well...

Well, these are the only two that came on within the past 2 minutes anyway.

Continue with your normal programming now.

"Help...I've fallen and I can't get up!"

"Bud....weis...bud....er"

I like the new beer commercial... Starts off with a guy telling his girlfriend that he doesn't want to marry her, and she tells him she just won the lotto. :)

That one Saturn commercial where the guy is standing really close to the salesman and the salesman tells him to step back cause he's really freaking him out always cracks me up. I guess it's cause i actually know people that do that!

One of my all time favorite ones was the commercial for Levi jeans. It stars out with a guy and girl in his apartment and you can see the cloths but not the people in them, she begins to do a strip tease for him. I thought that one was very sexy.

I like the tune in the new Mitsubishi(sp?) commercial. LOL, I can't tell ya whats happening in the commercial, I just like the tune! :)

I thought the same thing after I wrote the post.

A little help from the music gods around here, what's the name of the tune and who did it?

Goes something like "Live my life without you... Without you..." Time for a gnotella search I guess.

Found it guys! Dirty Vegas, the song name is "Days Go By". I'll try to attach the song, but either it'll be too big or I'll be busted back to pre-newbie state (worth it, cool tune!)

<edited part>
Yeah, there was a size limit. No attachment possible. Sorry Dudes and Dudettes. Recommend the listen though!

I agree with you on that one.

But there's a MILK commercial that starts out showing a family on a picnic. Each of them are eating brownies and as the crumbs hit the ground, a group of ants are enjoying it. Then all of the ants get excited when the family began pouring milk. One of the glasses overfills and milk is spilled onto the table and towards the end of the table where the ants anxiously waits for it. But a cheese curl blocks the milk path from hitting the ground. So the ants send "Ben" to move the cheese curl so that they can all have milk. So Ben crawls up the table and as soon as he gets to the top and marches towards the cheese curl, one of the kids place their glass of milk right on top of Ben and squashes him.

Then they show an ant below as he says, "OH @$%^*"

Everytime that commercial comes on, the entire shop (my job) cracks up laughing.

I like the Molson "I am Canadain" commercials. There are far to many good ones to list here, so I will just say those are my favourite series of commercials.

I think I started a thread asking people what their favourite "I am Canadian" commercials were, but that is probably so far down the page list, it's not worth digging up.

There's one out now for responsible drinking that I really like. Guy and girl on the couch watching TV, he's drifting off. A speaker's corner spot comes on with a couple of really attractive women and a guy. The guy is ranting about how hot the women are in the city and how no women back home are that hot. The girlfriend is sitting on the couch getting digusted...and then she sees it's the boyfriend. He wakes up scared shitless :)

Ok this one is probably be funny but I like the goodyear tire one where they shipping the tires out and the big well i think it looks like the marshmellow man he starts crying.....lol..makes me laugh all the time. I think it is sooo cute:D

There's a Telephone commercial

that shows the mouths of different people saying life changing phrases like "It's a girl" "The test was negative" etc. which is really effective.

The cellphone "Can You Hear Me Now" ads really grated on my nerves when they first started, but as the series has matured, it's more fun to see where the guy is and how people are reacting to him.

The one that makes me smile everytime I see it now is the car commercial with the little boy who whispers "Zoom Zoom". I used to test drive cars and I just love the whole presentation of that theme from concept to packaging. :)

And another telephone commercial (long distance rather)

While I'm no huge fan of the comedian, Carrot Top, I think he's a little funny on the long distance commercial.

He accidently pushes this foxy woman into a pool and, as he panicks, he promises to save her. But he dips his toe into the water and says, "Whooooa! That's cold. Well, I'll show you how to save money with 1-800-CALL ATT."

Then as the commercial is ending, they show him drying off the woman with with a leaf blower..........LOL

Nothing will ever beat those "Chewey" commercials from Quacker Oatmeal.

"Need a little quiet time?":D

I love the walmart(?) (or is it best buy?) commercial, with the robot not wanting to give up his gf the scanner "you can't have her I loooovvvvee her" cracks me up everytime.

::grooooooooooan!:::

God! I hate that commercial!! Maybe I'm just an old broad and don't get it. (Granted, I haven't been in a dance club in over 10 years.) But, I'm sorry. That chick looks like she's having a seizure. Makes me want to avoid all Mitsubishi products.

Now that one I LOVE!!!

I just saw that one today and thought it was hilarious!

I like the truck commercial, I think its a GMC Jimmy.

This guy is all bundled up in a snowsuit, gloves, head gear, and boots. He's snowblowing his driveway in a terrible snow storm.

Camera takes you inside his garage, where he's in his truck, he takes off his hat, opens the garage and is now smiling from ear to ear. He starts his truck, and takes off.

He snowplowed the snow in the "middle" of his driveway so he could drive through it with his new 4x4 truck.

I love guys who like to be boys!

:)

The Stacker 2 commercial with Lita driving the race car. For one, Lita is hott and 2 i like nascar racing.

Fabreze

I love animals in commercials anyway, but my current favorite is the dog who sprays the whole house with Fabreze the instant the family leaves, only to return to his "spot" the second they return. Then as they say "it smells so nice in here", doggie gives a look into the camera.

My husband and I are in debate, he says it is either Office Max, Office Depot or Staples.

I like the one by TGIF where their cook is in chef school. The head chef is walking down the row, looking at all these artsy little dishes with hardly any food. Then he reaches the TGIF guy's heaping plate. He looks at the head chef and say's 'ta da, I stacked it.'

Heh heh, I always 'tada' my meals to the woman now.

I can't remember for sure either, although I want to say it's a Circuit City ad.

This brings up the question, "can a commercial be too cute to be effective?"

I see a lot of, "I don't remember what the product is, but..." going on in this thread. Are these cute commercials actually working against the products because people associate the commercial with a clas of products instead of a specific product?

I love commercials . . .

The tire commercial wasn't Goodyear, it was Michelin. The big marshmallow dude is the Michelin Man. The one where he dances in his office and rattles the cubicles in the office below is even funnier. If you have trouble remembering what the Michelin Man looks like, come back when I have about 40 more posts, because I'm using him as my av. Well, either him or Peter Griffin from "The Family Guy."

The "you can't have her, I love her!" was Staples, whose commercials are usually a riot.

But my favorites are Victoria's Secret.
