Cool toys on TV that just plain suck!

Xmas is coming and it's time to seperate the crap from the good. All those cool toys that look like so much fun for the littluns and end up in the junk box before the new year.

Stupid Hot Wheels and all those lame assed loop spider eating, dragon biting, monster chomping setups. They all suck and never work they should. Damn its almost impossible to just find straight tracks to just race them!

Screw all those jewelry making, goopey creating, cake making 'light' boxes. yes, I know you all love those easy bake ovens...sorry. Perhaps they should up the quality control these days.

Those new Lego toys that they're currently giving away at McDonald's are pretty cool.

I stick to the basics. Art supplies, Legos, Lincoln Logs, wooden blocks.

The plastic shit with batteries is always junk that the kids play with for 2 minutes and then discard.

The l'espion digital camera.

I bought one, it promised SO much. Smallest digital camera, webcam capabilities etc...

The fact is it won't take pictures in anything less than bright daylight and the drivers for the webcam (under Mac OS 9 and X at least) aren't anything to write home about. Yahoo messinger can't see it for instance.

When it does work, it's a laugh. But don't expect (like me) to be able to take pictures down the pub of your mates doing daft things. It sadly just isn't up to it.

When buying toys .. I usually buy what I like and I know my nephew will love ... I know what he loves and I buy him toys which that I know are fun and will survive more then a day with him... I go to Toys R' US ... and browse and open all the boxes!
