Controversial topic!!!!!!!!!!

Just let your masculine side out and go for him, Fox! (Damn! He really is pretty!)

I don't really have a masculine side. And the fact that he's gay will not stop me from creating a story series around his new video For Your Entertainment :)

And yes, he's pretty!

Oh!
Do you know what you got into
Can you handle what I'm 'bout to do
'Cause it's about to get rough for you
I'm here for your entertainment

Oh!
I bet you thought that I was soft and sweet
You thought an angel swept you off your feet
But I'm about to turn up the heat
I'm here for your entertainment

40 Billionaires Pledge Wealth To Charity

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Billionaire and Oracle Corp. (ORCL) Chairman Larry Ellison will join movie director George Lucas and 38 other billionaires who are following a call made in June by Warren Buffett and Bill and Melinda Gates to pledge the majority of their wealth to charity.

On Wednesday, the trio will announce that 40 of America's wealthiest individuals and families, from Microsoft Corp.(MSFT) co-founder Paul G. Allen to hotel mogul Barron Hilton have signed on to the "Giving Pledge," an invitation Buffett and the Gates' extended in June for America's wealthiest families to publicly commit to giving away at least half of their wealth to charity within their lifetimes or after their deaths. The pledge stemmed from a series of dinners the two men held for the nation's billionaires over the past year to discuss the effects of the recession on philanthropy.

As philanthropy can often be a private matter, some signatories came as a surprise. Software mogul Ellison is among those who have given widely but rarely stated their intentions so publicly.

"Until now, I have done this giving quietly--because I have long believed that charitable giving is a personal and private matter," wrote Ellison in a public letter on the Giving Pledge's website.

He said he put virtually all his assets into a trust with the intention of giving away at least 95% of his wealth to charitable causes and has already given hundreds of millions of dollars to medical research and education.

"So why am I going public now? Warren Buffett personally asked me to write this letter because he said I would be 'setting an example' and 'influencing others' to give," Ellison wrote. "I hope he's right."

Other billionaires on the list, including New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens, had previously stated their plans to give away the majority of their wealth to charity but said calling attention to their plans will encourage others to follow suit.

"I've long stated that I enjoy making money, and I enjoy giving it away. I like making money more, but giving it away is a close second," Pickens wrote in a letter on the Giving Pledge website. "To date, I've given away nearly $800 million to a wide-range of charitable organizations, and I look forward to the day I hit the $1 billion mark."

It's one of those endearing very American things that rarely get talked about. It is far more common for the American ultra rich to make enormous piles of money and then give it away than is the case in other countries. The current richest man in the world, Carlos Slim, has emphatically stated that he thinks his money can do more 'good' if he keeps it than if he gives it away. That's the global norm.

Awwwwwww, Tx. Now why'd you have to go and say that? :)

Actually, what to do with the dough IS controversial in some corners. There are several examples where foundations have in essence been "kidnapped" by people who steer them in directions that would give the original donor/s a fit.

Disposing of a lot of dough in a responsible manner isn't easy. One certainly wouldn't want to see it frittered away stupidly. Giving money away with no accountability is very likely to produce the same result as showering an adolescent with dough.

In a somewhat celebrated case, a prominent university was recently sued by the descendants of a donor because they felt the university was not complying with the donor's intent.

Buffett has spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to best dispose of his fortune. Unlike most titans who are usually possessed of monumental egos, he decided that there was no sense in "reinventing the wheel" and is giving the bulk of his fortune to the Gates Foundation. For 30 years, Buffett has consistently stated publicly that he wasn't going to leave his kids a "lifetime supply of food stamps."

There's a ginormous foundation that's located in my area. It is staffed by "do-gooders." Its mandate is:

to foster public policies, human-service reforms, and community supports that more effectively meet the needs of today’s vulnerable children and families. In pursuit of this goal, the Foundation makes grants that help states, cities, and neighborhoods fashion more innovative, cost-effective responses to these needs

In fact, it spends a not-insignificant portion of its budget underwriting Public Broadcasting and NPR. Does that sound like what the founder intended? Wouldn't this foundation be more closely aligned with its mandate if it spent that dough on actually providing support to "vulnerable children and families"?

Jast talk about things you have NO understanding of. That's how all these topics start...

I was only teasing, Ma'am, playing with how "pretty" he looked.:rose:

Oh, I know.

Oh wait...controversy!

No, I am offended by your callous remark. Just because I have short hair does NOT make me masculine. Do you see these breasts? You can't buy them this good! :D

Is grope spelled with one hand or two?

OH yeah, {Add a two paragraph rant about green fonts in a green font}

If you're not groping with two hands, you're not doing it right!

It should also involve tongue, too! *nods*

Because young people just shouldn't know how to be good lovers. Unfair advantage! You've either got the bloom of youth or impressive bedroom skills. Both would be too much!

*Handing you an application for Raven's School of Fucking Awesomeness.*

I'll be the judge of that. The assessment is included in the tuition

I've been told I have both... but I don't think he gets a vote :p
